The paper has discussed the difference between in-class teaching and online class,with the help of the pragmatics theory,especially the Speech Act Theory.We have tried to explain how the online platforms affect the speech acts of the teachers by analyzing the constitutive rules of the speech acts of the teachers and the features of the online platforms,in order that we can acquire inspirations of the organizational models which are adapted to the online class.The text is divided into 5 chapters.The chapter 1 is introduction.It’s a review of existing study,which is about the teaching speech acts and the live online platforms.The chapter 2 is the comparation of the mode of propagation among the in-class teaching and the online class.We introduced the stylistic variables which has been widly applied to analyze the difference between the offline style and its online variant,in order that we can show the features of the online platforms which affect the speech acts of teachers and students.According to the variety of the four of the stylistic variables,which are named media,measure,condition,extent,we can learn that the change of the measure,the limit to the condition and the extent are the decisive factors that the online platform affects the teaching speech acts.The chapter 3 is the research of the offline teaching speech acts which is divided into 4 categories according to the function variables.The chapter 4 is the difference between in-class teaching and online class.It’s combination of the chapter 2 and 3.The chapter 5 is the summary.
