Elaboration Of In-depth Report:Sailing Without Sails

This in-depth report takes Rowing Athlete Xiong Xiong as the protagonist,which aims to reflect the difficulties faced by athletes in their career and explore the importance of athletes’ career planning.Through Xiong Xiong’s experience at different stages of life,show his unique quality and the reasons for his success.Using the method of case analysis,this paper objectively describes the inspirational transformation of the protagonist Xiong Xiong from "ordinary" to "extraordinary",and finally returns to the experience of "ordinary",which reflects the proximity,significance,and authenticity of news value.In addition,by comprehensively using the research methods of literature,interview and field investigation,this in-depth report focuses on the difficulties faced by athletes in reemployment after retirement,objectively shows the process,influencing factors and difficulties of athletes’ career development,and puts forward practical countermeasures.Relevant research results show that the problems of professional competitive athletes’ career planning in China are mainly reflected in the following two aspects:firstly,the awareness of athletes’ career planning is weak,and there is a lack of systematic and scientific career guidance.Secondly,there is a lack of sustainable athlete career planning and development system.Therefore,based on the above problems,this paper puts forward effective and feasible countermeasures.First,the government should actively strive to broaden the employment channels of athletes and introduce relevant policies to ensure athletes’ participation in Vocational and technical training.Secondly,as a reserve talent base for the development of competitive sports in China,sports schools also should pay more attention to the setting up of courses related to career planning and guide athletes to cultivate their awareness of career planning.In addition,athletes themselves should also establish feasible career development goals and formulate reasonable phased plans to lay a good foundation for the realization of career goals in the future.
