SWOT Analysis And Strategy Study Of The National Youth National Junior Training Team Selection Model For Table Tennis

Research objectives:Table tennis has always been a traditional competitive event in China,and it has achieved good results in the international arena.But in recent years,other national table tennis teams have been secretly building up their strength to compete with Chinese table tennis teams in the world table tennis world.No matter in the international tournament or in the Asian youth table tennis competition,the Chinese team has suffered a lot of impact,so the selection and training of excellent young table tennis talents has become the urgent need of the Chinese table tennis team.In August 2020,the China Table Tennis Association decided to select excellent table tennis reserve talents more openly and fairly to the society,schools,clubs and individuals on the basis of retaining the original mode of transferring reserve talents,and set up national table tennis youth training teams and children’s training teams to further consolidate the foundation of Chinese competitive table tennis youth and children’s reserve talents.The purpose of this study is to use SWOT analysis method to analyze the internal strengths and weaknesses,external opportunities and threats of the selection mode of table tennis youth junior training team,and put forward the relevant strategies to improve the selection model.Research object and method:This paper takes the national youth junior training team on the selection and training of competitive table tennis reserve talents as the research object,and uses the methods of SWOT analysis,literature,expert interview,questionnaire and mathematical statistics to analysis of the internal advantages and disadvantages,external opportunities and threats of the national youth national junior training team selection,and conducts SWOT analysis and strategy exploration.The main results of the study are as follows:(1)The advantages of the selection mode of the national youth junior training team to the training of competitive table tennis reserve talents are as follows:promoting the development of table tennis reserve talents in our country;widening the selection channels of table tennis reserve talents;it is conducive to the promotion of table tennis and the development of amateur table tennis training.(2)The disadvantages of the selection mode of the national youth junior training team to the training of competitive table tennis reserve talents are as follows: taking the competition results as the selection standard;the selection mechanism and operation are insufficient;the media is not fully utilized and the publicity is insufficient;there is competition within the system and in the market-oriented training mode.(3)The opportunities of the selection mode of the national youth junior training team for the training of competitive table tennis reserve talents are as follows: the support of the national policy to the competitive sports reserve talents;the deep mass foundation;the guarantee and support of the China Table Tennis Association to the National Youth Junior Selection Competition;China has a good economic foundation;other national youth competitions are still limited.(4)The threat of the selection mode of national youth junior training team to the training of competitive table tennis reserve talents is: Japan and South Korea and other countries have a strong momentum of development;the concept of "performance-based theory" still exists;the quantity and quality of competitive reserve talents in our country show a downward trend;the epidemic normalization hinders the normal selection.(5)Through the calculation,it is concluded that the selection of the national youth junior training team should adopt the SO strategy of the combination of internal advantages and external opportunities,that is,the pioneering opportunity strategy.We should make use of policy guidance to increase the number of amateur table tennis youth reserve talents,broaden the selection scope of the national youth junior training team,and improve the selection mechanism of the national youth junior training team with the strong support of government agencies.Conduct a comprehensive and comprehensive evaluation of athletes;effectively integrate high-quality training resources,improve the efficiency of reserve personnel training,and attract young athletes to participate in the selection.
