Since the reform and opening up,China’s urbanization process has advanced by leaps and bounds,and the urbanization rate has jumped from 17.9%to the world average.But at the same time,the quality of urbanization in China is not satisfactory.By the end of 2020,the rate of urbanization of registered residence population in China was 45.4%,still lower than that of the resident population by nearly 19 percentage points.The phenomenon of "half urbanization" should not be underestimated.Urbanization is lagging behind urbanization.At the same time,the urbanization rate of the developed countries(80%)is also very small.In the new stage,the citizenization of migrant workers is the most prominent problem,the objective requirement for the basic realization of socialist modernization,and the main task of high-quality new urbanization.To solve the above problems,it is the meaning of the topic to study and judge the citizenization will of migrant workers.Social existence determines social consciousness.After entering the city to work,the main social existence of migrant workers is their employment situation.Therefore,based on the data of China Laborforce Dynamic Survey(CLDS)in 2016,this paper analyzes the current situation of migrant workers’ citizenization willingness and labor rights and interests protection,depicts the variables of migrant workers’ labor rights and interests protection,and comprehensively investigates the impact and mechanism of migrant workers’ labor rights and interests protection on their citizenization willingness.The results show that:(1)the citizenization intention of migrant workers in China is not strong.Data show that only 24.39%of migrant workers are willing to settle in cities,and 21.03%of migrant workers are willing to transfer to cities.(2)The current situation of labor rights and interests protection of migrant workers in China is not optimistic,among which the lack of insurance rights and interests is the most serious.(3)The protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers has a significant positive impact on their willingness to settle and transfer;In the transfer decision-making,the security dimension has a more far-reaching impact than the other two dimensions.(4)From the perspective of personal characteristics,the gender,marital status and health status of migrant workers have no significant impact on the willingness to settle down and transfer households;The years of education have a significant positive impact on the willingness to settle down and transfer;Age has a significant negative impact on settlement intention,but the direction of action changes after 63.5 years old.(5)From the perspective of heterogeneity,the protection of labor rights and interests has different effects on migrant workers in different generations,gender,years of education and regions,showing a certain complexity.(6)From the perspective of influence mechanism,the protection of labor rights and interests not only directly affects the citizenization will of migrant workers,but also further affects the citizenization will by affecting the sense of social equity of migrant workers.The intermediary effect of social equity accounts for 6.58%and 7.67%of the willingness to settle and transfer households,respectively.In addition,the effect of labor rights and interests protection on the citizenization will of migrant workers is also regulated by community links,which positively regulates the effect of labor rights and interests protection on the citizenization will of migrant workers.Accordingly,this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions:first,standardize labor relations and further promote the expansion of social security.Second,improve working conditions and ensure labor safety.Third,ensure wage payment and improve the wage growth mechanism.Fourth,carry out skill training and build a vocational education system.Fifth,strengthen community construction and promote community social integration. |
