The new era calls for balanced and adequate development, specifically in education, which means striving to build an education system that cultivates all aspects of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development, and to form a higher level of talent cultivation system.Teaching,as the basic activity of school education,is an important way to educate people.Strengthening the construction of simultaneous development of five educations areas of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development in teaching is a topic that needs to be studied in the new era of balanced and adequate development.Based on this,in order to realise the nurturing value of the subject of geography and to enable students to develop comprehensively in the areas of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development, this study uses the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey, case study and action research to explore. With the aim of designing a high school geography teaching programme that integrates simultaneous development of five educations,we firstly analyse the necessity of the current high school geography subject and simultaneous development of five educations in terms of policy support, theoretical needs and practical difficulties, and comprehensively explain the inner connection between high school geography teaching and simultaneous development of five educations. In an investigation of the current teaching situation, the reasons for the low penetration of the Five Literacies at the teaching level are summarised. And based on this,we construct a model of high school geography teaching design based on simultaneous development of five educations, and through the design case-"the formation of soil" and teaching implementation,we propose the optimization strategy of high school geography teaching based on simultaneous development of five educations, and draw the following conclusions:In the questionnaire survey,it was found that high school geography teachers have a certain understanding of the theoretical knowledge of the connotation of "simultaneous development of five educations" and the relationship between the "five cultures",but they are not very clear. In the actual teaching, teachers do not pay attention to the penetration of the concept of "simultaneous development of five educations" in the curriculum, teaching materials and methods, but 70% of the geography teachers said that they attach importance to the overall development of students’ comprehensive quality. However, the actual teaching effect is not satisfactory, and the main difficulty is the lack of teaching design solutions to promote the integration of simultaneous development of five educations Principles. Therefore,a theory is proposed for the construction of a high school geography teaching design based on the "simultaneous development of five educations".In the part of the theoretical construction, the teaching design of senior secondary school geography from the perspective of simultaneous development of five educations revolves around two major issues: "what" and "how".First of all,on the question of "what",the literature research method is used to sort out the relevant research on "simultaneous development of five educations" at home and abroad. On the basis of previous research results,it is concluded that the design of high school geography teaching from the perspective of simultaneous development of five educations systems is a way for geography teachers to take the standards as the basis, take the textbooks as the basis,on the basis of fully interpreting the content of the textbooks, consciously explore the education points of moral education, physical education, aesthetic education and labour education contained in the textbooks, and set reasonable teaching objectives according to the available teaching resources, and then carry out teaching design.Secondly, through analysing the connotation, characteristics, principles, structure and models of teaching design of high school geography based on simultaneous development of five educations, the question of "how to do" teaching design under the perspective of the concurrent development of the five cultures is addressed. In the case design section, the section of "Soil Formation" in Compulsory 1 of Xiangjiao version of senior secondary geography is selected for the teaching design from the perspective of simultaneous development of five educations. It includes five parts: selecting the teaching content, analysing the teaching background, exploring the five nurturing points, formulating teaching objectives, designing teaching activities, implementing teaching evaluation and reflecting on the teaching effects.A systematic teaching design plan was developed to provide ideas for the implementation of the concept of simultaneous development of five educations in the teaching of geography. Finally, after a period of implementation of the educational concept of "simultaneous development of five educations",the feedback from students’ questionnaires, teachers and parents shows that students themselves have further improved in terms of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and social aspects, which indicates that the educational concept of simultaneous development of five educations can effectively promote students’ all-round development in the design of high school geography teaching.Based on this,we propose optimisation strategies in terms of teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching process and teaching evaluation to provide additional theoretical references for front-line high school geography teachers.
