The professional development of Chinese teachers in senior middle schools means that they h ave rich Chinese qualities,aim at establishing morality and fostering peopleand conform to the n eeds of the times,inwardly to improve their professional Knowledge,skills,moral cultivation,th roughout the entire career career of Chinese teachers professional growth.This coincides with th e concept of curriculum ideological and political work.In recent years,the state has vigorously p romoted the ideological and political work of the curriculum,the new round of educational refor m has also Put higher demands on teachers,therefore,high school Chinese teachers are facing gr eat challenges in the field of curriculum thought and politics,so it is very important for them to i ntegrate their professional development with curriculum thought and politics effectively.The central question of this paper is: What are the challenges of the professional development of senior Chinese teachers from the perspective of curriculum and politics.This paper uses the methods of Literature Research,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis to investigate t wo high schools in the south and north of Guangxi,the main findings of the paper are as follows:According to the policy document issued by the Ministry of education,"guiding outline of ideo logical and political construction of higher education courses",this paper summarizes the profess ional development of Chinese teachers in senior middle schools in Guangxi from four dimension s: concept cognition,content structure,method implementation and evaluation system.At presen t,the problems existing in the professional development of Chinese teachers in senior middle sch ools from the perspective of curriculum ideology and politics in Guangxi are as follows: lack of teachers’ professional spirit,limited teachers’ professional knowledge,weak teachers’ professional ability,ideological and political assessment mechanism is single.Based on the analysis,the caus es of the obstacles are summarized as follows:The concept of Chinese teachers’ education is old,their enthusiasm is not high,the content of Chinese teachers’ ideological and political study l acks guidance,the knowledge structure is unitary,the ideological and political resources are insuf ficient,the Chinese teaching and the curriculum ideological and political balance is difficult;Lac k of scientific evaluation standards,too much emphasis on academic achievement.Therefore,tea chers’ professional spirit should be enhanced,their professional knowledge should be improved,t heir professional skills should be strengthened,and perfect the evaluation mechanism of ideologi cal and political work.The research innovation of this paper mainly lies in the relatively new research perspective.Al though the concept of curriculum thought and politics has become a hot word in recent years,the re are few studies on the combination of curriculum thought and politics with the professional de velopment of senior Chinese teachers,the relevant research of the author can provide the line sup port for the further promotion of the ideological and political work of the curriculum,so that the old concept of teachers’ professional development can be rejuvenated.providing a new direction for the professional development of Chinese teachers in senior high schools,giving a new age pro position.
