Educational reform is the main driving force for educational progress and development, and the quality of curriculum,as the core of education,is inextricably linked to teacher professionalism. In modern society, where the values of openness, pluralism, democracy and freedom are gradually advocated, and education is gradually moving away from traditional authoritarian systems, the importance of teachers as curriculum leaders is becoming increasingly evident.Distributed leadership is an approach to managing teams and organizations in a collaborative,co-leadership and mutually supportive manner.Adopting a distributed leadership model helps school leaders and teachers to collaborate and grow together to improve the quality of the school’s curriculum and promote the development of core student literacies, and teachers’ "curriculum leadership" is an important role in responding to this process. This article uses literature analysis to provide a detailed discussion of the connotation, constituent elements, influencing factors, and ways to improve curriculum leadership from a theoretical perspective.Based on the theory of distributed leadership, while referring to the teacher curriculum leadership scale compiled by foreign scholars and the evaluation index of teacher curriculum leadership constructed by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the curriculum leadership scale for middle and high school teacher was adapted. The survey was conducted among teachers in Y city,Guangxi, using this scale and a teacher job satisfaction questionnaire. After analyzing the survey results through SPSS 26.0,this article points out the following problems in high school teacher curriculum leadership: low participation in the main "curriculum planning" decisions, insufficient awareness and ability to innovate school curriculum, weak willingness to develop personal teacher curriculum leadership, and insufficient incentive atmosphere for teacher curriculum leadership development.Based on further analysis of the reasons, this article tries to put forward the following thoughts to enhance middle and high school teachers’ curriculum leadership: first, innovate school management and enhance teachers’ participation in curriculum decision-making;second,optimize school culture and improve teachers’ awareness and ability to innovate curriculum;third,to awaken subjective consciousness and enhance teachers’ willingness to develop curriculum leadership;fourth, explore customized training programs to enhance teachers’ curriculum leadership competence;and fifth, create a diverse and supportive atmosphere to stimulate the development motivation of curriculum leadership. |
