With the development of social work,social work has gradually been professionalized and refined in social practice.Anti-poverty is the core concept of social workers.Social workers have always faced various service dilemmas in providing services for subsistence allowance children.Therefore,this paper mainly focuses on the dilemma of social workers providing educational support for urban low-income children,and deeply analyzes what service dilemmas social workers have encountered in the service process from the micro,meso and macro levels.This article adopts qualitative research.Through the preliminary screening of social workers in Shanghai X institutions,eight social workers have come into contact with the minimum subsistence allowance children and provide them with educational support services.The author conducted unstructured interviews with these eight social workers and collects research materials,and summarizes and sorts out the interview text,aiming to explore the service dilemma in the education support of low-income children.The study found that social workers face three major difficulties:professional,operational and social dilemmas when providing educational support services for children with low-income children.The professional dilemma mainly includes two aspects:professional relationship and role practice.In terms of professional relations,social workers have problems such as disconnecting theory and practice,difficult to establish professional relations,non-one-to-one professional relations,and non-service professional skills.In role practice,social workers have limited role time,chaotic roles,and low self-role identity.The operational dilemma has two aspects:resource linkage and actor support.In terms of resource links,social workers have scarce resources,long-consuming to find resources,single material resources,and uncertain access to resources;in terms of operational support,there is limited operational support from the community,lack of service support from families,and less spiritual support from institutions.There are both cultural and linguistic aspects in social difficulties.The conflict between cultural focus and cultural customs,the concept of family ugliness and traditional educational concepts;linguistically,it is mainly an obstacle to language habits.This paper draws the research conclusion:First,there are major and secondary dilemmas in professional dilemmas and operational dilemmas,and the main dilemmas affect secondary dilemmas.There are major dilemmas in social dilemmas,which will cause professional dilemmas and operational dilemmas.Second,professional dilemmas,operational dilemmas and social dilemmas seem to be independent and have a relationship of mutual influence and containment.In this regard,we will reflect on the dilemma of social workers in providing educational support for subsistence allowance children:the rationality of non-single professional relations,social work professional services are relationships,and the advantages germinated in the service dilemma.Therefore,it extends to practical suggestions for social workers:improve the professional ability of social workers;integrate practice to achieve knowledge production and transmission;and strengthen the ability to integrate service resources efficiently.
