As a new frontier technology in recent years,VR technology has been applied in many fields,such as entertainment,aerospace,military,medical,education,and other industries.Among them,in the field of education,this technology has gradually entered the education classroom and played a huge advantage.With the strong support of national policies,the rapid rise of innovative teaching methods has prompted researchers to explore new teaching models in line with current teaching concepts by combining VR technology,comprehensively promoting the digital process of teaching.Mathematics is an extremely important subject among many subjects,and solid geometry in primary school mathematics is an important part of teaching,which is also a knowledge point difficult for students to understand compared with other chapters in the subject.Based on this,this paper combs the status quo of education and teaching research using VR technology at home and abroad through literature research,and finds that there are relatively few studies combining VR technology with the teaching of primary school mathematics solid geometry,thus determining the research direction of this paper;By analyzing the current situation and existing problems of solid geometry teaching in primary school mathematics,a VR solid geometry virtual teaching classroom is designed and developed.Through interviews with the teachers,based on the concept theory of solid geometry in primary school mathematics,it was found that the combination of VR technology and mathematical solid geometry can give play to the advantages of enriching classroom teaching mode,improving classroom teaching effect,stimulating students’ learning interest and exercising students’ practical ability;Through a questionnaire survey,we learned that teachers and students currently hold a positive attitude towards the application of VR technology in primary school mathematics classroom teaching;The VR virtual classroom which can be used in primary school mathematics solid geometry teaching is designed by applying the experimental research method.The design and development of the virtual classroom mainly consists of two parts;One is to build virtual teaching scenes through 3D software and Unity3 D development platform,mainly including geometric modeling,animation video and UI design required in teaching;The second is to use HTC Vive virtual interactive equipment to conduct interaction design in the VR solid geometry virtual classroom,which can enable users to interact through VR equipment.Finally,a test was released and a questionnaire survey was conducted from the perspective of user experience to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of the virtual classroom,and relevant improvement measures were proposed to address the shortcomings.The VR solid geometry virtual interactive classroom described in this paper breaks the traditional rigid teaching mode,and the constraints of teaching equipment and venues on teaching.It innovates the traditional teaching method of solid geometry in primary school mathematics.The application of HTC Vive virtual interactive equipment allows students to experience immersive teaching methods in three-dimensional virtual space,stimulate learning interest,experience the fun brought by geometric mathematics knowledge,and achieve auxiliary teaching effects.
