Since the 21st century, the world’s information technology process has developed rapidly, and education information technology has also received attention and development. As a large agricultural country,China has a large number of rural people and a huge number of rural primary school students, but education resources are scarce.Promoting the development of rural revitalization requires a large number of talents, and education is the key to cultivating talents. With the development of information-based society, rural teachers are required to continuously improve their abilities. The promulgation of the new curriculum in April 2022 not only raises the status of the IT curriculum, but also places higher demands on IT teachers, who become the key point of implementation of the curriculum.Promoting the professional development of IT teachers in rural primary schools has therefore received widespread attention.Based on this research, the professional development of IT teachers in rural primary schools is of practical significance to the development of information technology in the country, and can also provide a reference for scholars who study the professional development of IT teachers in primary schools in depth.Based on this, this study is based on the recent research background and the project topic of this research team.Through reading and sorting out the relevant literature on teachers’ professional development and IT teachers’ professional development at home and abroad, the theoretical basis of this study is based on the Professional Standards for Primary School Teachers(for Trial Implementation),Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory and Constructivist Learning Theory. To explore the impact of the project curriculum on IT teachers in the implementing schools and to provide case empirical evidence for post-promotion IT teacher professional development strategies in rural primary schools.Firstly, the questionnaire method was used to investigate the current situation, problems and reasons for the professional development of ten IT teachers from the ten rural primary schools involved in the implementation of the project’s curriculum in three dimensions:professional philosophy and teacher ethics, professional knowledge and professional competence.Based on the results of the survey and analysis, the problems in the professional development of rural primary school IT teachers who participated in the project’s course training can be seen as a lack of attention to the professional development of rural primary school IT teachers from the teachers themselves to the schools and the community.Secondly,we assisted rural primary schools to implement the project curriculum through field observation interviews. The project curriculum was analysed in terms of its introduction and content, including its objectives, design, relevance to the new curriculum, implementation and requirements for teachers. The rural primary IT teachers who implemented the project were interviewed in batches at the end of the project and analysed for implementation effectiveness. The reason for the batches was that the two batches of teachers had been involved in the implementation of the project curriculum for different periods of time.Based on the results of the interviews and analysis,it is concluded that the"Huawei Technology School" programme has facilitated changes and improvements in the teaching methods, teaching philosophy, teaching activities and teaching attitudes of ten rural primary school IT teachers, and has been used as a case study to prepare teachers for the new curriculum. Finally, strategies to promote the professional development of IT teachers in rural primary schools are proposed based on the problems and causes of the current situation survey, the implementation of the project curriculum and the effects of implementation.Strategies are proposed to enhance teachers’professional development in terms of self-awareness,internal environment and social environment respectively. And summarize and prospect. |
