In 2022,the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China promulgated the Curriculum Standards for Physical Education and Health(hereinafter referred to as the "Standards"),which pointed out that school physical education in the new era should start from the actual needs of students,physical education teachers should actively innovate teaching methods,and formulate more specific teaching programs in teaching.The "Standard" makes more detailed provisions on the sports knowledge and skills that Level 3 students should master.In order to promote the improvement of the physical education teaching quality in primary and secondary schools,physical education and health curriculum is an important way to realize the all-round development of children and adolescents.Therefore,our education department vigorously advocates innovative teaching methods to carry out physical education teaching.It is characterized by breaking the thinking pattern of traditional teaching methods and applying this method in the teaching of primary school basketball courses,which can provide effective new teaching ideas in the selection of teaching methods and teaching content and has certain innovation.This paper uses the method of literature,expert interview,questionnaire,experiment and mathematical statistics.The main purpose of the research is to apply reverse teaching method to the basketball teaching of Grade six in primary school,reverse design the teaching sequence of the basic part of grade six basketball course and the teaching steps of basic basketball technology.The "reverse teaching method" and "traditional teaching method" are applied to the basketball course of sixth grade for experimental comparison,and the influence of reverse teaching method on basketball teaching in primary school is analyzed,so as to provide reference for improving the teaching quality of physical education in primary school.Through the analysis of experimental data,this paper studies the influence of reverse teaching method applied to basketball teaching in the sixth grade of primary school on students’ general physical fitness,basic basketball skills and interest in sports learning.According to the actual situation of middle school students’ learning in the whole experiment process and the experimental results,the feasibility of application of reverse teaching method in the basketball course of the sixth grade of primary school is analyzed,and specific implementation suggestions are put forward.The results show that:(1)In terms of learning interest:After the experiment,the subjective standards of active interest in sports learning,participation degree in sports and independent learning ability of students in the experimental class were all higher than those in the control class,with significant differences(p<0.01),indicating that the application of reverse teaching method in basketball teaching in the sixth grade of primary school played a significant role in improving the interest level of the sixth grade students in sports learning.(2)In terms of physical fitness:after the experiment,the results of the experimental class were slightly lower than those of the control class in the two indexes of sitting forward bend and one-minute sit-up,while the results of the experimental class in the three indexes of 50-meter running,standing long jump and one-minute rope skipping were all higher than those of the control class.There was a significant difference(p<0.05),indicating that the reverse teaching method had a good effect on improving the speed quality,lower limb explosive power,coordination and endurance quality of the sixth grade students after the application of basketball teaching.(3)In terms of basketball skills:after the experiment,students in the experimental class scored better than those in the control class in basketball skills index of one-handed shoulder shooting and number of passes to the wall,with significant differences(p<0.05);In terms of dribbling skills,there was no significant difference between the control class and the experimental class in the shape of half-court V layup(p>0.05),indicating that the application of reverse teaching method has achieved a good effect in improving students’ shooting and passing skills in the basketball course teaching of grade Six primary school.
