With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,more and more attention has been paid to the local resources as history curriculum resources,which has higher requirements for history teachers.Using local resources in the teaching of history in secondary school is conducive to improving students’ interest in learning,cultivating students’ core quality of history,and promoting local excellent culture.As the first batch of historical and cultural cities,Suzhou has left abundant local resources,including physical resources,text resources,intangible cultural resources,etc.,which lays the foundation for the implementation of the ideas in the new curriculum standard and the research in this paper.How to use rich local cultural resources to teach history in younger grades is the scope of this paper.This paper is divided into five parts.The introductory section focuses on the background of the study and the research methodology.By identifying the current state of research at home and abroad,we understand the research gaps and find the innovation points of the research.By clarifying the research status at home and abroad,we can find the theoretical basis for the research.The first chapter of the text defines the relevant concepts of local history curriculum resources and summarizes the principles related to the use of local resources in secondary history class that should be considered,mainly including the goal,science,adaptation to local conditions and appropriateness.On the basis of a brief introduction to the history of Suzhou,classifies the rich local resources of Suzhou in detail from five aspects: physical,text,human,intangible culture and information.And explaining the value of application from multiple perspectives of teaching,students,teachers and culture.The second chapter of the text analyzes the results of the survey through the students’ questionnaire to understand the problems in the use of local resource in the historic teaching of junior high schools in Suzhou.The main conclusions are as follows: the application of local resources in Suzhou is not high;Suzhou local curriculum evaluation mechanism needs to be improved;the overall quality of history teachers needs to be improved.The third chapter of the text compares the contents of the seventh and eighth grade Chinese History textbook of the People’s Education Edition with the local resources of Suzhou,integrates and sorts out the local resources that can be used in history teaching,and presents them in tabular form.It is conducive to the teaching of local history by front-line teachers.It mainly expounds the strategies of using local resources in the historic teaching of junior high school.It is mainly put forward in two aspects: pre-lesson introduction,in-class interlude,post-lesson summary,research activities,knowledge competitions,cultural lectures in extracurricular activities,and combines theory with practice to carry out specific case design.Chapter 4,based on the above research,puts forward suggestions and thoughts on improving the application of local resources from five aspects: the relationship between textbooks and local resources,the relationship between classroom teaching and extracurricular practical activities,and the improvement of teacher literacy.Finally,the full text is concluded by the conclusion.I hope that this paper can provide reference for the teaching of history and local resources in Suzhou junior high school.
