Mathematics core literacy has always been a hot topic in mathematics education.In the compulsory education stage,due to the emergence of the new curriculum standard of "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",especially the formal establishment of the original core concept as mathematics core literacy,it has again caused heated discussion in the compulsory education stage.As one of the most basic and important skills in mathematics core literacy,the cultivation method of mathematical abstract ability and results have always been a key issue of concern,and research on training strategies is usually based on understanding students’ current mastery of mathematical abstraction skills.Therefore,this article conducts research on this basis.This article first reviews the existing research status at home and abroad to obtain specific influencing factors related to the cultivation of students’ abstract ability.Secondly,the survey question naire method is used to further explore the factors that affect students’ abstract ability.It is found that the main factors affecting the cultivation of middle school students’ abstract ability are:(1)students’ own differences;(2)Students’ understanding of conceptual knowledge is not deep enough;(3)Students cannot effectively abstract mathematical problems from real-life situations;(4)Not developing good study habits;(5)Mechanized learning methods lead to hindrance in thinking Finally,through interviews and analysis with teachers,it was found that the level of emphasis placed on abstract ability cultivation by teachers and the teaching methods also have a significant impact on abstract ability cultivation.In response to the research on the above issues,the author provides the following training strategies from the perspective of teachers:(1)Cultivate students’ sense of mathematical abstraction and promote students to better understand mathematical concepts,propositions,methods,and systems,thereby better understanding,the mathematical essence of things;(2)Teachers need to attach importance to students’ concept teaching,and visually display mathematical concepts,theorems,etc,which are difficult for students to understand through associative and intuitive teaching models,so that students will no longer be afraid of abstract mathematical concepts;(3)Teachers need to choose appropriate teaching methods.During the teaching process,the selection of situational issues in the introduction and consolidation stages should consider whether it is effective in cultivating students’mathematical abstraction abilities;(4)Teachers need to focus on cultivating students’ good learning habits in daily learning and life,this can subtly enhance students’ mathematical abstraction ability.Based on the above research conclusions,this article provides a certain teaching case design for how to cultivate students’ mathematical abstract ability in junior high school through the content of the function chapter.Besides,it gives suggestions on the teaching methods and models used by teachers in the teaching process.The main emphasis is to pay sufficient attention to the mathematical abstract ability of junior high school students.And we also hopes to provide reference for other educators.
