Abstract/Summary:
As one of the supporting materials for history textbooks,historical atlases are important resources and tools for history teaching.With the comprehensive promotion of the departmental edition of history textbooks,Planet Map Publishing House,under the authorization of People’s Education Publishing House,continued to write a high school history map book.In 2019,based on the 2008 edition of the high school history map book and in accordance with the requirements of the new high school history curriculum standards,according to the changes in the unified edition of high school history textbooks,its content and form were expanded and optimized,Make it an excellent textbook auxiliary material applicable nationwide.It is of great help in enriching textbook content,mobilizing students’ learning enthusiasm,cultivating students’ ability to extract chart information,and improving teachers’ teaching effectiveness.It also has a place in today’s college entrance examination preparation.However,after conducting a survey on the usage of teachers and students through a questionnaire,it was found that in the actual history teaching process,the usage of the 2019 planetary version of the "Ordinary High School History Atlas" was not ideal.Many teachers still viewed the new history atlas from an old perspective and did not fully recognize its value.Moreover,students’ awareness and methods of using the new planetary version of the history atlas were not mature enough,Ultimately,it was set aside and unable to play its due role,resulting in a waste of teaching resources.In view of this,the paper starts from how to better apply the 2019 planetary version of the "Ordinary High School History Map Book" to history teaching.Under the guidance of the new curriculum standards,based on existing theoretical research,the paper delves into the content of the 2019 planetary version of the "Ordinary High School History Map Book",and explores the advantages and development direction of the planetary version of the "Ordinary High School History Map Book" by horizontally comparing other versions of the history map book,A longitudinal comparative analysis was conducted on the characteristics presented in the development of the planetary version of the historical map book.On this basis,a questionnaire survey method was used to investigate and analyze the current situation of teachers and students’ use.Based on the questionnaire results,application methods were explored,and feasible suggestions were proposed for teachers and students.Finally,a case study was designed using the planetary version of the high school historical map book teaching combined with the textbook content,fully reflecting the effectiveness of the 2019 planetary version of the "Ordinary High School Historical Map Book" in teaching,Thus providing theoretical and practical references for high school teachers and students to apply the History Atlas,and promoting the integration of the 2019 Star Edition of the "Ordinary High School History Atlas" with high school history teaching.
