Research On The College Education Mode In Applied Colleges And Universities

Wu Yan,director of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education,suggested that "the college system of talent cultivation may be one of the talent cultivation modes we want to explore,combining the western residential college and the Chinese college system well,cultivating students who are not only talented,but also virtuous,inculcated and imbibed." In order to adapt to the changes in talent cultivation needs brought about by technological development and to cultivate inter-disciplinary talents with a combination of healthy personality,active learning,critical and innovative thinking,applied colleges and universities have implemented the college system.With the implementation of the college system,applied colleges and universities have encountered bottlenecks in the process of talent cultivation,and there are more shortcomings in the education mode of college system.Therefore,it is necessary to study the education mode of the college system in applied colleges and universities and put forward corresponding reform measures.This study uses documentary analysis and interview method to investigate the "Academy+College" cooperation mode,tutorial system,general education and students’ self-management of the college system in applied colleges and universities,taking teachers and students of three applied colleges and universities as the research subjects.Based on the interview texts and data,four types of education modes are summarized: student management mode,tutorial system,curriculum system and teaching mode,and modes of cultivating talents.The study analyzes the problems of the four education modes,explores the causes of the problems,and give some suggestions to promote the development of the college education mode in applied colleges and universities.The study finds that the following characteristics exist in the education mode of the college system in applied colleges and universities: the college system adopts the academy-college management mode,establishes the tutorial system,implements general education,and students carry out self-management.There are problems such as poor academy-college cooperation,difficulties in the implementation of tutorial mode,poor implementation of general education courses and teaching,and deviation of talent cultivation from the concept of college system.The reasons are analyzed,such as inadequate student management mechanism,formalized tutorial system,imperfect general studies curriculum system and teaching mode,and the deficiencies in the talent cultivation mode.In this regard,this study proposes to improve the student management mechanism,effectively improve the tutorial system,perfect the general curriculum system and teaching mode,and reform the modes of cultivating talents in order to promote the sustainable development of the college education mode in applied colleges and universities.
