Intention and material selection are the two major difficulties for most junior high school students to write narrative essays.Among them,the intention is not profound,material selection is not novel is the most prominent problem.Tracing back to the source,these problems reflect the students’ lack of thinking and accumulation of life.The life of junior high school students is mostly two points and one line.Students are confined to a corner,and what they see,think and feel is also framed in a corner.Chinese teachers must contemplate the significance of enhancing students’ comprehension and cognition of the world.Image reading is different from directly experiencing life,which has its unique value.Contemporary teenagers are immersed in the complex image life,the image includes everything,the whole world panoramic view.Students can break the time and space restrictions,wander in the world of images,and obtain more information.Through the eyes of the image producer,students can feel the charm of life indirectly.Image reading can make up for students’ missing experience,which has a certain significance for improving narrative writing.This paper is divided into six chapters to discuss the application of image reading in the teaching of narrative writing in junior high school: the introduction part,mainly describes the basic situation of the topic,including the origin and significance of the topic,relevant research status,core concept definition,research content and methods.The second chapter aims to investigate the current status of narrative writing teaching in junior high school,and understand the problems in narrative writing teaching and teachers’ attitude and ideas on the introduction of writing and material selection teaching by reading pictures based on specific data.The third chapter aims to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of reading pictures in the teaching of narrative writing in junior high school.Everything has two sides.The introduction of images into writing teaching has both advantages and disadvantages.The fourth chapter aims to put forward the specific methods of image reading pictures in the teaching of material selection in narrative writing,including the methods of reading pictures,intention and material selection.The fifth chapter aims to establish a teaching mode of using image reading to carry out narrative writing and material selection.Under the guidance of relevant theories,the author tries to put forward a new teaching scheme of narrative writing and material selection for reference and operation of first-line Chinese teachers in junior middle school.Chapter six aims to carry out relevant teaching practice.According to the test results,it analyzes the effect of using image reading to carry out the teaching of narrative writing in junior middle school and makes a summary.
