Oral communication is a social interaction activity that conveys information,exchanges ideas and expresses emotions.It is also a crucial component of language teaching in junior secondary schools,an important content of language teaching materials,and an essential reflection of students’ basic language literacy and comprehensive ability.This paper uses literature research,case studies,interview surveys and statistical analysis to reflect on the necessity of oral communication training for junior high school students,to explain the principles that should be followed in oral communication training in junior high school,to point out the contents of oral communication training in junior high school,and to propose strategies that are applicable to oral communication training in junior high school,with the aim of providing some help for the teaching of oral communication training in junior high school.The aim is to offer some help to the teaching of oral communication training in junior high school.This paper is split into seven parts,of which parts two to six are the core parts of the whole paper,parts two to four are theoretical explorations,and parts five and six are practical investigations.The first part provides an overview of the relevant issues.It mainly explains the origin of the study,defines the three groups of concepts of ’language and speech’,’spoken and written language’ and ’communication and oral communication’,and gives an overview of " The second part explores the current status of the study of oral communication in junior secondary languages.The second part explores the arrangement of oral communication training in junior high school language teaching materials.This paper presents oral communication training in junior high school language textbooks in the form of a systematic knowledge section and a regular integration of daily training,where the systematic integration is in the "Reading","Integrated Learning" and "Masterpieces" sections.The regular integration is in the "Reading"."Integrated Learning" and "Guided Reading" sections.This approach is characteristics of the theoretical and practical nature of the content,the diversity and comprehensiveness of the types of training,and the gradation and hierarchy of the literacy objectives.The third part explores the need for oral communication training for junior secondary school students.In the light of reality,it can be recognized that oral communication training for junior secondary school students is a necessity in the lives of junior secondary school students,a necessity for the language curriculum to meet standards,and a basic role of the language subject.The fourth part explains the principles of oral communication training in junior high school languages.Build on the characteristics of oral communication and students’ physical and mental development,oral communication training in junior secondary school must follow the principles of comprehensiveness,progressiveness,simulation,practice and interaction.The fifth part points out the contents of oral communication training in junior secondary school.Based on the arrangement of the content of the teaching materials,the contents of oral communication training in junior secondary languages are training in listening,training in the expression,training in response and training in thinking.The sixth part proposes strategies for oral communication training in junior secondary languages.Built on the content of the training,the oral communication training lessons in junior secondary languages take the form of special training and comprehensive training.The superior training can be conducted in the context of unit tasks,board topics and for students’ differences,while the integrated training can be conducted in the context of reading,writing and context.The seventh part is the concluding remarks.It summarizes and concludes the paper and wishes to point out the limitations of this research.
