Functions are taught throughout high school mathematics,and the abstraction of function concepts and the diversity of function properties is the important and difficult points of teaching.In recent years,with the development of information technology,a number of excellent teaching software such as GeoGebra and Geometry Drawing Board have been widely used in teaching.To explore the use of GeoGebra software in function classroom teaching is the main research content of this project.First,using the literature researches method,we summarized the teaching functions of GeoGebra software and the use of teaching software in teaching,sorted out the research results related to high school functions,and clarified the research direction of this paper.Further,based on the theory of mathematical multiple representations and cognitive load,we analyzed the inspiration brought by these theories about mathematics teaching.Second,classroom observations were used to understand the current status of function teaching.Classroom observations revealed that the classroom pays attention to students’development,focuses on classroom introduction to stimulate students’ interest in learning,can use PPT and projection screen to integrate information technology into traditional classroom teaching,but there are some problems in the handling of important and difficult points,which are manifested in,the explanation of function concepts is not clear enough,the parameters of The problems are:the explanation of function concept is not clear enough,the analysis of the effect of parameter change on function is not thorough,and the graphing of function is not standardized enough.From the interviews with teachers and students,we can conclude that the concept and properties of functions are difficult points for students,and they all hope to integrate the teaching software into the classroom.Finally,the practicality and effectiveness of GeoGebra in teaching high school functions was verified by conducting teaching experiments and analyzing pre and post to test data.
