Classroom teaching is the main site of basic education curriculum reform and the main channel for implementing core literacy.Classroom teaching reform is carried out based on curriculum standards, and the new "Compulsory Education Curriculum Program and Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2022 strengthens the nurturing function, cultural function and practical function of the curriculum in a nurturing way,and explains a new teaching concept. This new series of changes in curriculum standards has set off a wave of research on teaching and learning in the education sector.Under such a realistic background, this study attempts to provide a new research idea for classroom teaching from a cultural and philosophical perspective in order to take care of the nurturing, cultural and practical demands of the new curriculum standards on classroom teaching, and put forward the core view that classroom teaching is a cultural practice activity, with a view to enriching theoretical research on classroom teaching, promoting the cultural turn of classroom teaching reform, and facilitating the implementation of core literacy in specific classroom teaching. The aim is to enrich the theoretical study of classroom teaching, promote the cultural turn of classroom teaching reform, and facilitate the implementation of core literacy in specific classroom teaching. This study focuses on the core argument of classroom teaching as a cultural practice activity, and through an analysis of Cassirer’s cultural and philosophical ideas,it explores three basic questions, namely, what is the essence of classroom teaching, what classroom teaching should be like, and what kind of classroom can reveal the cultural practice attributes of teaching. This study uses the literature research method and theoretical thinking method to reflect deeply on the above questions, and then proposes the following claims and conclusions.Firstly, this study analyzes Cassirer’s philosophy of culture and reveals the commonalities between the philosophy of culture and the study of classroom teaching. The study argues that Cassirer’s philosophy of culture takes the nature of human being as the logical starting point, proposes the "symbolic-cultural" nature of human being, and then suggests that the way to realize human being is through practice. The future development direction of classroom teaching research is the new curriculum emphasizing human education, culture and practice,so the commonality between classroom teaching and cultural philosophy lies in the fact that classroom teaching,as a unique cultural practice activity of human beings, also takes human beings as its logical starting point and realizes the creation of culture through practice.Secondly, the study believes that the essence of classroom teaching is the practical activity of nurturing people, which is a logical starting point to realize cultural creation in the process of nurturing people and nurturing them into cultural people.Classroom teaching as a cultural practice has the characteristics of nurturing, cultural practice, creativity and meaningfulness, and it has far-reaching significance for society, culture and people’s own development.Again, under the view of the essence of cultural practice of classroom teaching, the subject of classroom teaching, teachers’ "teaching" and students’ "learning" activities and the relationship between teaching and learning are re-examined,and a view of classroom teaching in the context of cultural philosophy is formed. The study concludes that teachers and students are both subjective and cultural as "human beings" in classroom teaching activities, and that teachers’ "teaching" and students’ "learning" activities are both cultural practices. Both teachers’ teaching and students’ learning are cultural practices.Teachers’ "teaching" as a cultural practice is reflected in three aspects:the teaching value of educating people and educating themselves, the teaching content of "cultural symbols" and the teaching process of "culturalizing" people. The "learning" of students as a cultural practice Students’ learning as a cultural practice is reflected in the motivation of self-generated learning, the content of cultural symbols generated by meaning, and the dynamic process of cultural creation. The study also reconceptualizes the symbiotic relationship between teaching and learning in terms of Cassirer’s holistic thinking, and suggests that this relationship is linked through linguistic symbols. Finally, based on the above claims and conclusions, and also combined with the new teaching philosophy in the new curriculum, this study constructs a classroom with the attributes of cultural practices in five aspects.First,to establish the teaching goal of educating people with culture and construct a cultural classroom. The second is to highlight the cultural value of teaching contents and build a humanistic classroom. The third is to build a living classroom by relying on the teaching method of cultivating people through practice.Fourth,to create a literacy-oriented evaluation system and build a life classroom.Fifth,to create a meaningful dialogue and communication between teachers and students, and to build a wisdom classroom.
