In recent years,in order to solve the problem of care for students after school,after-school service comes into being.However,at this time,after-school services are more inclined to science and science services such as cultural development,which actually increases students’ academic burden in a disguise.Therefore,the "double reduction" policy issued in 2021 endows after-school services with new connotations and ways,and makes after-school sports services,which are different from traditional sports courses,and other skills and physical services begin to appear.But inevitably some new challenges and problems will arise.At present,the development of after-school sports services in all Chinese cities is in the exploratory stage.Besides the lack of relevant experience,there are also some successful cases that can provide reference.Therefore,this paper takes the development status of after-school sports services in Lubei District of Tangshan City as the research object,and selects eight schools according to the development level,regional conditions and school nature.Conduct research on relevant government departments,schools,social third-party organizations,families and other relevant personnel,seek solutions for the problems existing in the development of after-school sports services,and put forward development countermeasures,so as to promote the further development of after-school sports services in Lubei District of Tangshan City.This paper adopts the methods of literature,interview and questionnaire to study the development status of after-school sports services in Lubei District of Tangshan City,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The government mainly focuses on reducing students’ academic pressure,increasing the time for physical exercise,providing sports opportunities and other aspects,and has issued relevant regulations,clearly stipulating that the three parties should jointly fulfill the main responsibility of education.(2)All primary schools in Lubei District of Tangshan responded positively to the "double reduction" policy and fully carried out after-school sports services.Regulations,publicity channels,service duration and frequency,project types and funding sources have been improved and strengthened.(3)The coaches of after-school physical education service are mainly school physical education teachers and coaches of off-campus training institutions.While ensuring adequate resources for coaches,and ensuring their professionalism and quality,most coaches have a high sense of identity and satisfaction with after-school sports services.(4)Most students have a high enthusiasm to participate in after-school sports services,and have improved in physical fitness,motor skills,social interaction,and will and spirit.Meanwhile,parents are more supportive and satisfied with after-school sports services.(5)After the "double reduction" policy,although after-school sports services have been paid attention to,there are still problems such as imperfect policies,regulations,supervision and evaluation mechanism,shortage of venue funds,common single projects,uneven level of off-campus coaches and inadequate safety guarantee.(6)In view of the existing problems,the national level needs to formulate complete laws and regulations and supervision mechanism;Schools should actively seek the help of outside forces to solve the problems of teachers,sites and funds;Social forces should strictly control the quality of coaches and strengthen the three-way linkage between home,school and community.Students and parents should fully understand the value and significance of after-school sports services and strengthen safety awareness.Based on the development status of after-school sports service in Lubei District of Tangshan City,the following development strategies are proposed for reference to domestic and foreign experience in after-school sports service: improve relevant laws and regulations;Strengthen examination and supervision;Improve the assessment and evaluation system;Increase publicity;Expand the source of teachers,strictly control the quality of teachers;Broaden the funding channels and improve the service environment;Strengthen safety facilities and regulations.
