The International Charter for Geography Education(2016 Edition)calls for respecting and caring for the earth in practice and making sound decisions.The "Geography Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition and 2020Revision)" requires students to look at geographical problems comprehensively and dialectically,and have the ability to observe,analyze and solve geographical problems,and have the ability to design and carry out geographical practice,so as to form a correct concept of people and land.In the "China College Entrance Examination Evaluation System","one core,four layers and four wings",of which "one layer" is "subject literacy",and argumentative teaching can effectively cultivate subject literacy.Argumentative teaching is commonly used in science education to guide students to practice,so as to cultivate students’ practical operation and problem-solving skills.The application of argumentative teaching to high school geography teaching can guide students to simulate the process of scientists’ demonstration and research,and promote the cultivation of students’ core literacy in geography.Based on the relevant theories of educational psychology such as cognitivism theory,constructivist learning theory and meaningful learning theory,the research on applied argumentative teaching in high school geography teaching is carried out through literature research method,experience summary method and case study method.The paper mainly focuses on the following six parts:The first part explains the necessity of introducing argumentative teaching into high school geography teaching by explaining the background and significance of research argumentative teaching,and selects the research content and research methods applicable to the thesis on the basis of sorting out the current situation at home and abroad.The second part defines the concepts of argumentation,argumentative teaching and argumentative teaching mode after reading a large number of literature,and explains that the argumentative teaching mode focused on this paper is ADI teaching mode and PCRR teaching mode,which lays a theoretical foundation for further development.The third part is an overview of argumentative teaching,which mainly includes the characteristics of argumentative teaching,the educational value and the implementation steps of ADI and PCRR two argumentative teaching modes.The fourth part explains the feasibility of introducing argumentative teaching into high school geography teaching from the perspective of ADI teaching mode and high school geography experimental teaching and PCRR teaching mode and high school geography concept teaching.The fifth part puts forward the principles and application strategies of argumentative teaching,and puts forward optimization suggestions from four aspects: topic selection,argumentation activity setting,teaching evaluation and thinking training.The sixth part is based on the ADI demonstration teaching mode,and the experimental teaching design and reflection of the Chinese plate selective compulsory two "The Natural Causes of Soil Erosion on the Loess Plateau",in order to provide reference for high school geography teachers when using the ADI teaching mode.
