Objectives: This study took telomere as the research target, took ordinary male college students as the research object, and analyzed the differences in telomere length and telomerase activity in male college students with different levels of physical activity. To explore the association between telomere length, telomerase activity and physical activity level. To analyze the effect of physical activity level on telomere length and telomerase activity,so as to provide more theoretical support for exercise to delay aging.Research methods: The subjects who met the requirements were divided into groups. Then the subjects were asked to wear the three-axis accelerometer for a week. Before the test, the basic information such as age, gender, weight and height of the subjects were input, and the subjects were asked to wear the three-axis accelerometer on the right hip joint. The accelerometer should be worn at least 8 hours a day for seven consecutive days. Finally, the telomere length and telomerase TERT m RNA expression in peripheral blood leukocytes of all subjects were tested by fluorescence quantitative PCR method. Finally, spss was used for data statistical analysis.Findings:(1)Compared with the relatively insufficient PA group, the relatively active PA group had 5.51% less daily light intensity exercise time, while the average daily moderate-intensity exercise time,vigorous-intensity physical activity time, and extremely high intensity physical activity time were significantly increased(P < 0.05),which increased by 1.17 times,71.76%,and 84.12%,respectively.We added up the average daily time of moderate, high and very high intensity physical activity,as shown in Figure 3,showing that the average daily time of moderate and high intensity exercise in the relatively active PA group was significantly higher than that in the relatively insufficient PA group(P < 0.05),with an increase of 99.97%.(2)The telomere length of peripheral blood leukocytes in the relatively active PA group was significantly higher than that in the relatively insufficient PA group(P < 0.05),with an increase of 11.94%.(3)The expression of TERT m RNA in the relatively active PA group was 21.29% higher than that in the relatively insufficient PA group.(4)The average daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity time of the 60 subjects was112.73 minutes, and the relative telomere length was 0.68.The duration of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity was positively correlated with the relative telomere length of peripheral white blood cells(P<0.05).(6)The average daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity time of 60 subjects was 112.73 minutes, and the expression of telomerase TERT m RNA was 2.35.The duration of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity was positively correlated with the expression of TERT m RNA(P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)Physical activity level is correlated with telomere length and telomerase activity in male college students.(2)Moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity was more effective than moderate-to-low intensity physical activity in improving telomere length and telomerase activity. |
