| Gagne’s Hierarchical Theory of Learning was proposed by Robert Mills Gagne,a leading contemporary American educational psychologist.Gagne’s Hierarchical Theory of Learning advocates the pursuit of developing the unity of individual students’ knowledge and abilities, and emphasizes guiding each student to take the initiative in associative learning, structural learning and lifelong learning. At the same time,Gagne emphasizes learning from the past on the basis of previous experiences, cognition and experiences, and gradually going deeper at key learning points, and attaches importance to understanding students’ cognitive development process so that students can achieve real benefits in learning. This paper attempts to apply Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory to the teaching of music in elementary school in China, which has certain theoretical research value and constructive significance. This paper mainly adopts a combination of literature research, survey research and case study methods, and integrates theoretical analysis and the author’s teaching practice experience to investigate the application of Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory to cultivate music core literacy in elementary school singing integrated class. The research pattern of the whole paper will be laid out in the following three major parts: the first part is an introductory study. The first part is an introductory study, which briefly describes the concept and characteristics of Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory and analyzes the feasibility of its application to the cultivation of music core literacy in elementary schools by combing and summarizing the relevant literature. The second part is an experimental study.Through the guidance of Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory,we combine the current situation of China’s basic music classroom and build a singing integrated music classroom with the characteristics of Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory and the cultivation of students’ core literacy as the main teaching goal. The third part is a concluding study.Based on the evaluation and analysis of the new music classroom, the advantages and shortcomings of applying Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory to the cultivation of music core literacy in actual elementary music teaching are summarized. This paper attempts to apply Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory to a comprehensive elementary school singing class in which cultivating music core literacy is the main teaching goal, expecting to organically combine theory and practice, continuously find problems in the process of practice, timely solve them, and summarize them in a scientific, orderly, and reasonable manner,so as to disseminate new ideas of music teaching, explore new values of practical application of learning theory, and broaden new areas of fit between learning theory and music teaching. In this way,we can disseminate new ideas of music teaching, explore new values of practical application of learning theories, broaden new areas of fit between learning theories and music teaching, and provide effective reference for the application and implementation of Gagne’s learning hierarchy theory in China’s elementary school music classroom teaching. |
