| In the Internet era,blended learning approaches that integrate online and offline are r eceiving increasingly widespread attention.National documents such as the Education IT2.0 Action Plan(2018)and China Education Modernization 2035(2019),as well as the General Standards for Secondary Language Learning(2017 edition)and the Standards for Compulsory Secondary Language Learning(2022 edition)explicitly propose the creation of a "blended" language learning ecosystem that can integrate online and offline learning and actively follow the paradigm of language learning in an IT environment.There are also many challenges in the implementation of "comprehensive reading" in the school curriculum.Traditional classroom time and space are more limited and can no longer meet the demands of comprehensive literacy,There are also many challenges in the implementation of "comprehensive reading" in the school curriculum.Traditional classroom time and space are more limited and can no longer meet the demands of comprehensive literacy,which further reflects the need to adopt blended learning online and offline.How ever,most blended learning approaches are used in higher education institutions,and there is little research and practice in primary and secondary schools.Drawing on the case studi es of blended learning by Wu Xinxin,Zhang Yuan and Lin Yuming,this study proposes a blended learning approach to whole book reading based on learning theory from a global p erspective,using the Chinese case study of learning practice,and then summarizes the lear ning strategies and draws conclusions.This study contains the following main aspects.1.analysis of cases of blended learning applied to reading teaching.The case studies o f The Old King,taught by Wu Xinxin and Zhang Yuan,and The Flowers in the Morning,t aught by Lin Yuming,provide ideas and experiences for developing blended learning teac hing practices in this study.2.A blended learning concept based on holistic learning theory has been proposed.Th is study presents a blended learning concept based on Knutz’s Whole-Perspective Learning Theory,and explains how the blended learning approach can achieve the mutual integrati on and promotion of the three dimensions of "content","motivation" and "interaction" in t eaching whole-book reading.The concept of blended learning in whole-book reading is pr esented.3.The application of blended learning to the teaching of Native China.The study foc uses on the whole process of "holistic reading-in-depth reading-reflective re-reading",w ith the tasks to be completed at each stage,and the online and offline activities arranged se parately.4.Strategies for using blended learning in whole book reading.After the implementat ion of the teaching design,the blended learning strategies in whole book reading teaching were summarised and three strategies were outlined: designing learning activities that wor k seamlessly online and offline,forming personal learning assessment portfolios based on the Internet,and building a multimedia library of infinitely scalable learning resources. |
