Wushu is an important part of China’s traditional culture,and it can strengthen the body and cultivate the spirit of unyielding and persevering.With the formation of the national fitness boom,more and more people have participated in the field of wushu sanda,which has greatly promoted the development and inheritance of martial arts culture.Wushu sanda is a hand-to-hand sport that is dangerous,and compared to the influence of Confucianism,the development of wushu distribution events in China is still in its infancy.But far from the whole world,sanda fighting events are large-scale,prestigious,and have also gained a large fan base.Therefore,in contrast,the current sanda events in China are still very different from internationalization,and the degree of market-oriented development is not deep enough.Through field research,expert interviews and comparative research,this paper points out the market-oriented development status of wushu sanda events in China,and selects China’s wushu sanda events and American sanda fighting events for comparison,so as to reflect the dilemma of market-oriented development of wushu sanda events in China,and at the same time explore the beneficial practices of foreign top sanda events in the market-oriented operation and development,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the insufficient market-oriented development of wushu sanda events in China.The results show that:(1)The marketization development of Chinese wushu sanda competition originated in 1979,and then experienced four stages: budding,rapid development,bottleneck and maturity.(2)The types of wushu sanda events in China are divided into three categories: A,B and C;The number of events and the number of participants is growing every year;In terms of sports mode,the domestic representative Kunlun Decision is relatively mature in terms of market positioning,event diversification,innovation,operation mechanism and profit model,and also has a certain influence;Market regulation is still dominated by government supervision.(3)The current characteristics of the market-oriented development of wushu sanda events in China are: the level of event hosting continues to improve,the influence of events continues to expand,the economic benefits of events continue to grow,and the events effectively meet people’s needs for high-quality sports culture.(4)The advantages of market-oriented development of wushu sanda events in China include: government assistance,the event environment has been significantly improved;Relevant policies have been introduced,and wushu sanda events have been developed;The national fitness boom is in full swing,and martial arts have been promoted in schools;The Internet is popularized and the audience size is expanded.However,there are also shortcomings: insufficient public awareness of wushu sanda;Lack of talent in event operations;The level of innovation in the event needs to be improved;The construction of brand events needs to be improved;insufficient media publicity for the event;Wushu sanda events are not very spectacular;Wushu sanda athletes have a large gap.(5)On the path of market-oriented development of wushu sanda events in China,countermeasures are proposed: education and wushu sanda are integrated to improve public awareness;strengthening the team of sports agents;Competition innovation and strive for breakthroughs;Build a national characteristic event brand;Give full play to the advantages of the network to improve the influence of the event;Enhance the viewing and attractiveness of the event;Optimize salary packages and encourage the influx of martial arts sanda talents.
