| With the deepening of China’s new curriculum reform,the reform of curriculum and teaching is undergoing a value transformation with scientific literacy as the core,core literacy has become popular in China’s basic education,and the research on core literacy is flourishing.As a result,the concept has received much attention.The curriculum standards call for "further selection of subject content,with emphasis on the broad concepts of the subject as the core,making the curriculum content structured".As such,it is important to use the big concepts in the design process to bring the core literacies to the ground in a cascading manner.The UbD theory provides a good framework for the teaching of the unit,which aims to develop and deepen students’ understanding,and uses the "end for the beginning" design approach to strengthen understanding."It is designed to develop and deepen students’ understanding,using an ’end-to-end’ design to reinforce understanding,and the idea that understanding comes first in education is also very much in line with the demands of the curriculum reform.Teachers organise their teaching around big concepts in a higher perspective to bring core literacy to the ground.In this study,the author systematically compares the literature and works related to big concepts and UbD theory in English and Chinese at the beginning of the study,and summarises the feasible paths to extract the subject big concepts and unit big concepts in physics,while using the big concepts as the anchor point for understanding to apply UbD theory in the teaching of high school physics units and establish the teaching framework."In Chapter 4,we will apply it to the unit on the Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy.The theoretical design of the unit on"The Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy" was first developed,and an experimental class and a control class were set up to apply the theory to the actual classroom teaching.UbD theory in a high school physics unit teaching framework can deepen students’ understanding of physics knowledge,and can achieve the purpose of mobilising students’ interest in learning and increasing their participation in class.This study is inspiring and is expected to provide research ideas and methods for the implementation of core literacy in basic education reform in the context of curriculum reform,to link theory with practice,and to provide valuable practical experience for the application of big concepts and UbD theory in unit teaching. |
