Picture books are a popular book genre for children,and their content spans multiple fields such as art,literature,and education,with strong intellectual and artistic values.Currently,the art curriculum in China’s compulsory education focuses on educating people through beauty,emphasizes students’ art learning experience,and emphasizes the integration of knowledge and curriculum,which coincides with the nurturing value and content characteristics of picture books.If picture book resources are studied and developed to extract their rich aesthetic education elements,they can effectively promote the improvement of students’ core artistic literacy.However,at present,the teaching of picture books in China is still at the preliminary stage of exploration,and cannot give full play to the nurturing role of picture books.Therefore,how to fully exploit the educational value of picture books,adapt them to the development needs of junior high school students and improve students’core artistic literacy is the main difficulty of this teaching study.Based on the above-mentioned problems,in order to carry out effective picture book teaching in junior high school art curriculum,this paper takes art core literacy as the goal and reference,takes a middle school in Nanjing as the teaching practice site,composes and analyzes the relevant materials of picture books and picture book teaching through literature research to provide theoretical support for the practical research;uses questionnaires to understand students’ knowledge of picture books and their teaching as well as students’ own basic situation,and provides theoretical support for the subsequent teaching design.The questionnaire survey was used to understand students’ knowledge of picture books and their teaching,as well as their own basic conditions,so as to clarify the important and difficult points for the subsequent teaching design.At the beginning of the study,this paper considers picture books and picture book teaching from three aspects:the concept and narrative characteristics of picture books,the theoretical basis of this teaching,and feasibility.Then,a questionnaire survey was conducted on students in a middle school in Nanjing,and the difficulties of this teaching were summarized from the survey data and the preliminary analysis,and the corresponding solution measures were proposed.Combining the results of the theoretical analysis and the practical survey,this paper uses picture books as the theme for teaching design,embeds the cultivation of art core literacy in the whole teaching process,makes overall planning of teaching objectives,contents,methods,plans and evaluation methods,and designs four back-to-back and progressive thematic courses,and then puts them into teaching practice.In the post-practice summary and reflection session,through students’ learning outcomes and post-class questionnaires,we analyzed and found that students’ aesthetic perception,artistic expression,creative practice,and cultural understanding had all improved,indicating that this picture book teaching had achieved certain results.Finally,we reflect on the problems arising from the teaching practice and make suggestions for improvement.The development of picture book teaching in junior high school art curriculum is an important supplement to art teaching resources,and through the development of interesting,comprehensive,and innovative picture book teaching,we can give full play to the role of art curriculum in improving students’ aesthetic and humanistic literacy,promoting the cultivation of problem-solving skills,and implementing the enhancement of core literacy. |
