The country will be prosperous and strong while education is.As an important support for the vigorous development of education,the foundation of education can be deeply rooted and endowed with strong vitality only when fertile soil planted for teacher education.It is necessary to ensure the quality of teacher education as the source of improving the overall quality of teachers,which is the consensus of all major countries in the world.Research on the relevant evidence can make the development of teacher education quality assessment systematically and scientifically,and play an important role in proving the quality of teacher education and indicating the direction of teacher education development.Marilyn Cochran-Smith is a well-known scholar in the US.She focuses on policy,practice,and equity in the field of teacher education.Moreover,she has paid attention to the integrated research of pre-service teacher education and post-service teacher training long time ago,and proposed to accumulate reliable data on teachers’ professional learning,practice and on-the-job performance,and provide certain inspiration and thinking for evidence-based research on teacher education quality.Based on the primary role of teacher education in ensuring the overall level of education,this paper uses qualitative analysis method to sort out and analyze the relevant literature on teacher education quality and education quality evidence in combination with the outstanding problems in the current teacher education quality assessment in our own country.At the same time,the research is carried out based on the main view points of the complex theory and the evidence-based thought of Cochran-Smith,and drawing on the experience of teacher education quality assessment from American.First,starting from the “outcome problem” of teacher education,to sort out the main points of results affecting the current reformation of teacher education in the US,which is the initial manifestation of the concept of Cochran-Smith evidence-based teacher education quality.Second,study the visual graphic representation of the relevant elements of teacher education system,build a theoretical analysis framework to analyze the teacher education phenomenon of “New Graduate School of Education” in the US.This is the specific application of evidence-based research in teacher education practice.Third,study the quality assessment of the core elements of teacher education and analyze the evidence indicators of teacher education quality comprehensively based on the dimension of Cochran-Smith’s Evidence-Based Teacher Education Quality View.Finally,reflect on the evidence and provide lessons for the assessment of teacher education quality in our own country. |
