Teaching and research activities are the teaching activities that need to be carried out in the teaching of all subjects.Through teaching and research activities,the exchanges between teachers can be promoted and the professional quality of teachers can be improved.Teaching and research activities play a key role in school education.The main body of teaching and research activities is the teacher,and the main tester of the effect of teaching and research activities is also the teacher.Only when teachers put the teaching concepts and experiences advocated in teaching and research activities into the classroom can teaching and research activities have actual effects.However,what is the attitude of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province to the existing teaching and research activities in the school? Do they deny the physical education and research activities carried out by the school? Did they transfer what they learned in the teaching and research activities to the classroom? This paper makes descriptive statistics on the teaching and research activities of physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province,understands the current situation of physical education teachers’ teaching and research activities in Shanxi Province,and conducts a survey and research on the identity of physical education teachers in Shanxi Province.The purpose is to help the promotion of sports teaching and research activities in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province,and provide suggestions for the development of sports teaching and research activities in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province.The research object of this study is the physical education teachers of primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature,questionnaires,interviews,and mathematical statistics to investigate the status quo of physical education teachers’ sense of identity in teaching and research activities in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province.A total of 305 questionnaires were recovered,of which 303 were valid questionnaires.At the same time,4 teachers were interviewed.Through the processing of the survey results,this study draws the following results:(1)Physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Shanxi Province have a high sense of identity with teaching and research activities.Teaching and research activities have been accepted by most physical education teachers,and most physical education teachers have recognized the importance of teaching and research activities.(2)The "attitude" of the physical education teachers in Shanxi province is better than the "behavioral intention".Through data analysis,it is concluded that the score of physical education teachers’ attitude towards teaching and research activities is obviously greater than the score of behavioral intentions to teaching and research activities.Most physical education teachers agree with teaching and research activities,but lack of action.The transition from attitude to action.(3)Teachers with different attributes have gaps in their identification with teaching and research activities: female physical education teachers have significantly greater identification with teaching and research activities than men;physical education teachers with older teaching years have relatively less identification with teaching and research activities.Experienced,stable teaching style,relatively lack of motivation;physical education teachers with a master’s last degree have a higher sense of identity in teaching and research activities;postgraduate degree teachers have more requirements for teaching and research activities;physical education teachers with intermediate titles have a higher sense of identity in scientific research activities,senior titles of teachers have a lower desire for self-improvement.(4)The practicality of teaching and research activities is strong.Teaching and research activities can provide substantial help to teachers’ curriculum design and teaching methods.(5)The form of teaching and research activities is relatively simple,and most of them are carried out around classroom teaching,with low novelty and insufficient innovation.(6)Teaching and research participation is superficial.The relevant systems of teaching and research activities have not been implemented,teachers have not substantively participated in teaching and research activities,and teachers lack effective interaction in teaching and research activities.Based on the survey conclusions,this research puts forward five suggestions:(1)Renew teachers’ concept and promote the transformation of teachers’ "attitude" to "action".Through the training,teaching and research of physical education teachers,physical education teachers not only stay at the level of attitude towards teaching and research activities.(2)Teaching and research activities should be targeted.Pay attention to the differences of teachers in gender,school stage,teaching age,professional title,etc.,and provide different help according to different types.(3)Improve the system of teaching and research activities,and arrange the time of teaching and research activities reasonably.(4)Improve the guarantee mechanism to ensure the smooth participation of teachers.Schools and relevant administrative departments should strengthen funding input,form a sound expenditure guarantee system,and unblock the reimbursement channels for scientific research expenses.(5)Enrich sports teaching and research forms and innovate teaching and research work methods.According to the actual situation of different grades,different types of schools,and different teachers,different teaching and research forms are adopted according to local conditions.
