People will always seek the meaning of their lives on the basis of survival,to clarify why they live and how they should live,etc.This is especially true for college students who have a strong sense of difference and vitality.The attitude of college students towards themselves is related to whether they treat life,life and life positively or negatively.Therefore,how to guide college students to embark on a positive and healthy path of seeking the meaning of life is an important task for their physical and mental health,sound thinking and personality perfection.The article takes the sense of meaning of life as the target point,takes the self-treatment of college students as the entry point,and conducts a survey and research on college students in Shaanxi universities from the three components of self-compassion(self-kindness,common humanity,and mindfulness)and the seven levels of the sense of meaning of life(goal pursuit,intimacy,acceptance beyond,self-affirmation,interpersonal relationships,fairness needs,and beliefs)to understand the current situation of self-compassion and meaning of life of college students.To explore the connection between self-compassion and college students’ sense of meaning in life,and to explore strategies to enhance college students’ sense of meaning in life in Shaanxi universities by combining the influencing factors of the sense of meaning in life.This not only can guide college students to live actively and healthily,experience the meaning of life,and promote self-actualization,but also further expand the research horizon of ideological and political education,which is of reference significance to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education,and also provide theoretical and practical basis for cultivating socialist builders and successors.The study takes the sense of life meaning and the current situation of self-compassion of college students in Shaanxi colleges and universities as the target,based on the literature research on life meaning and self-compassion at home and abroad,and takes Marx’s thought of life meaning,the theory of life education in ideological and political education,Frankl’s theory of meaning therapy,the value orientation of positive psychology,Marx’s humanistic thought,humanistic psychology and the related theory of cognitive psychology as the starting point,and through quantitative questionnaire survey and qualitative interview,analyze and summarize the performance characteristics of life meaning cognition,emotional experience and behavioral tendency of college students in Shaanxi universities,and analyze the main factors affecting the sense of life meaning,so as to provide specific ideas for college students in Shaanxi universities to establish a correct view of life meaning and enhance the sense of life meaning.This study finds that college students in Shaanxi colleges and universities present the characteristics of meaning affirmation and meaning deviation,subjective expectation and objective loss in life meaning experience,and positive attitude and negative practice in life meaning seeking.The reasons for this are mainly the combined effects of individual cognition,family education,school education and social environment.Finally,combining with the performance of self-compassion of college students in Shaanxi University,we propose strategies to enhance the sense of meaning of life.First is to give full play to the subjective consciousness of college students,face up to their own resources,establish reasonable expectations,firmly believe in ideals,engage in life practice,cultivate positive psychological qualities,and to enrich the meaning of life;second,play the role of family education by setting a caring example,creating a harmonious atmosphere,practicing strengths in parenting,and engaging in positive life conversations;third,using colleges and universities as platforms to promote the continuous development of life education,create an ecology of talent cultivation,optimize education evaluation mechanism,strengthen curriculum construction,enrich education contents,innovate education forms,guide self-compassion,and deepen the understanding of the meaning of life;fourth,using society as a basis to create a favorable environment for life education,respect the subject consciousness,promote the orientation of value unification,establish life role models,and purify the network environment.
