In recent years,family education has attracted more and more attention from the society in the face of the discussion of various hot topics such as ’primary school entrance examination,senior high school entrance examination,college entrance examination,private schools and training institutions’.With the reform of China ’s economic system,the comprehensive strength of the country has been continuously improved,and the knowledge economy is also rising rapidly.The urgent importance of knowledge to the overall and healthy development of social economy and talents has been raised to an unprecedented international height and awareness.In order to obtain more professional knowledge,we must fully rely on knowledge education,so how does education form an important component of modern human capital?Studying the development of family education consumption expenditure of urban residents,a microeconomic subject,can provide a micro reference for a country to choose the direction under the implementation of macro policies.According to the popularization of the existing nine-year compulsory education system and the analysis of the corresponding policies and situations,the education expenditure of each family in the compulsory education stage of their children should show a downward trend.However,the existing statistical data show that the actual cost of family education for children is increasing every year,and the growth rate is accelerating,while the education expenditure of children in the non-compulsory education stage is more,which reflects to a large extent that a family attaches more importance to children’s education.It has a positive and effective effect on improving the national quality of the whole country and promoting the development of the national economy of the whole country.But from another macro point of view,if the family too much,irrational pursuit of children’s high education expenditure,it is likely to bring some new social problems.This paper takes the education expenditure of children in urban households as the research direction,insists on the combination of theoretical research and empirical research methods,and investigates the education consumption of children in urban households.It mainly investigates the purpose of children’s education consumption,the level of expenditure and the impact of education expenditure on other household consumption expenditures.In the course of the study,the specific data are obtained by collecting the expenditure data of children’s education consumption in urban households,and detailed statistical analysis is carried out.Then,based on the results of statistical analysis,the current situation and existing problems of children’s education consumption in urban households in China are obtained.Finally,through the empirical analysis model,the correlation of various factors is summarized,and targeted suggestions and countermeasures are put forward.This paper concludes that the education consumption of children in urban households is mainly affected by family income,parents ’education level,parents’ occupation,children’s education level and the number of children in the family.Therefore,this paper suggests that we should establish a correct concept of educational consumption,do a good job in guiding educational consumption,narrow the income gap between urban households,and balance educational resources investment,so as to reduce the burden of household expenditure.
