With the rapid growth of digital economy,advanced technology promotes the evolution of traditional supply chain to digital direction.Digital supply chain is considered as the direction and leading mode of supply chain development in the future.Digital supply chain has changed the talent structure of enterprises.The shortage of human capital is regarded as the main obstacle to the digital transformation of supply chain.Influenced by COVID-19,the uncertainty and complexity of supply chain are increasing.The highly globalized supply chain has been greatly affected.Enterprises are increasingly aware of the importance of improving supply chain security performance.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the influencing factors of supply chain security performance and find ways to improve the level of supply chain security performance effectively.In this context,this study aims to identify the relationships between human capital(HC),digital supply chain(DSC),and supply chain security performance(SCSP)from the perspective of the resource-based view and the organization information processing theory.By summarizing and analyzing the existing literature on HC,DSC and SCSP,this paper constructs a conceptual model of the relationship between HC(employees’ digital capability,managers’ digital capability),DSC(digital tools adoption,digital maturity degree)and SCSP(supply chain resilience,supply chain robustness),and discusses the moderating effect of digital culture.Specifically,the research contents mainly include:(1)Explore the impact of HC on DSC and SCSP.(2)Discuss the impact of DSC on SCSP.(3)Discuss the moderating effect of digital culture in the relationship between HC and DSC.This study obtained the survey data of 155 Chinese manufacturing enterprises to verify the conceptual model and conduct empirical analysis.The results reveal:(1)Both managers’ and employees’ digital capabilities influence digital maturity and supply chain resilience.However,managers’ and employees’ digital capabilities do not have a significant influence on digital tools adoption,and only employees’ digital capability has a positive relationship with supply chain robustness.(2)digital tools adoption and digital maturity have a great influence on supply chain resilience and robustness.(3)there is a positive moderating effect of digital culture on the relationship between employees’ digital capability and digital adoption,as well as the relationship between managers’ digital capability and digital maturity.The main theoretical value and practical significance of this study are as follows.Firstly,this study discusses the relationship between HC,DSC and SCSP for the first time,which expands and enriches the existing research.It also studies the moderating effect of digital culture,which has theoretical significance.Secondly,the research provides decision-making basis for Chinese manufacturing enterprises how to use HC and DSC to improve SCSP.There are 6 figures,23 tables and 127 references. |
