The 19 th Party Congress put forward the goal and task of implementing rural revitalization, which involves various aspects such as poverty eradication of rural population, infrastructure construction, rural governance system and basic public services, etc. In this context,it can be seen that the state attaches great importance to the role played by peasants in rural revitalization, and women are an important subject of rural society, which can not only enjoy the fruits of rural revitalization, but also participate in it and become promoters and builders of rural revitalization.Villages are the main activity places of rural women. To promote women’s attention to village affairs by carrying out activities in villages can promote women’s effective participation in village governance and create a harmonious community environment,as well as build women’s social support network and cultivate their sense of belonging and responsibility.Due to the constraints of subjective and objective conditions, rural women’s community participation is low and their community participation capacity is not yet high enough. To enable women to play a major role in village governance, social work intervention is needed to improve rural women’s ability to participate in village governance.Based on this reality, the author conducted a research on the status of women’s participation in rural village governance in Village F of Jingshan City, using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to investigate the current situation of women’s participation capacity in Village F.The survey found that women’s lack of participation capacity was mainly manifested in three aspects: participation awareness, participation knowledge and participation skills. We analyzed women’s participation needs and designed group activities focusing on the three areas of capacity deficiency, with the goal of improving women’s participation awareness, changing their participation behavior from passive to active, and improving their ability to participate in village governance. After the group activities were completed, group process evaluation and effectiveness evaluation were conducted.Through the evaluation,it was found that rural women’s participation awareness, participation knowledge, and participation skills were significantly improved after the group work intervention. Finally, the author summarized the group activities and reflected on the preliminary research and practical intervention process to better promote rural women’s participation in village governance.
