resources,how to effectively receive,process,analyze and transfer knowledge in this process is closely related to people’s cognitive processing.However,the cognitive load theory holds that a learner’s cognitive processing is a limited resource-consuming activity,and each time it needs to consume a certain amount of cognitive resources during knowledge learning and problem solving.Therefore,it can be seen from the above discussion that the large increase in the amount of information,the high-quality requirements of modern society,and the limited individual cognitive resources have brought cognitive load to people.The development of collaborative learning mode can adjust and allocate cognitive resources through collaborative learning groups formed by multiple learners,which is beneficial to improve the efficiency of cognitive processing and reduce cognitive load.However,the traditional collaborative learning process itself will cause additional cognitive load,and there are problems such as low level of communication,low learning efficiency and enthusiasm,and poor collaborative organization,which directly leads to the failure of collaborative learning methods to achieve good results.expected result.Therefore,it is necessary to understand the design of collaborative teaching activities and the cognitive load of learners under the project learning mode,and what relevant factors exist in project collaborative learning to affect the cognitive load.Taking the project collaborative learning activity as the starting point,this research proposes the relevant influencing factors of learners’ cognitive load in project collaborative learning,and after designing the activity implementation process based on cognitive load theory,provides regression analysis to verify,so as to provide optimal control The formulation of strategies provides a reference basis.On the basis of sorting out the literatures related to collaborative learning and project-based learning,from the perspective of cognitive load theory,and relying on the learning tool platform,this study conducts in-depth research on the factors affecting learners’ cognitive load in project-based collaborative learning.Firstly,according to the relevant theoretical basis,the design principles of project-based collaborative learning activities based on cognitive load theory are put forward,and on the basis of reviewing the relevant influencing factors of cognitive load,it is used as a guide to carry out the research from the perspective of cognitive load.The current situation of project-based collaborative learning is investigated,and the model of influencing factors of cognitive load is obtained through qualitative analysis.Among them,learner characteristics include learning ability,learning style and learning motivation;course organization includes task design,teacher support and time pressure;collaborative sharing includes group atmosphere,teacher-student interaction behavior and group interaction behavior;learning environment includes communication tools,Learn how resources and materials are presented.Secondly,under the guidance of design principles,the classification theory based on cognitive load conducts structural analysis of project-based collaborative learning activities from three aspects: internal,external and related loads,and combines the above specific situations to form shared cognition,control Intrinsic load,integrating curriculum and environment,reducing external load,promoting team interaction,and improving the teaching thinking design of relevant load,and at the same time,according to the existing project design process,the teaching model design and teaching model of project-based collaborative learning activities based on control strategies for cognitive load are proposed from four aspects: learners themselves,course organization,team and environment:(1)Pay attention to the main characteristics of learners,and pay attention to improving learner’s ability and motivation,and maintain appropriate stylistic consistency characteristics within the group;(2)organize the curriculum format,design moderate task
