Case Study Of Judicial Social Work To Intervene In The Correction Of Juvenile Delinquent

Juvenile delinquency has already become one of the serious social problems all over the world.How to help juvenile delinquents and bring them back into the society successfully is a weighty topic among all countries.This study based on the extensive absorption of present research results in the academic circles,guided by social support theory and advantage perspective theory.Interviews and methods of social work were used.Carrying out correction work for juvenile delinquents with the experience which learned from intervention of judicial social workers to the juvenile delinquents.In the process of intervention,judicial social workers comprehensively used emotional support skills and influencing skills to provide correction and help for juvenile delinquents.With their intervention,the hard-working judicial social workers achieved correction goals and finally made them return to society successfully.Which proved that the intervention of judicial social workers in the correction of juvenile delinquents is effective.In this study,the intervention of judicial social workers in the correction of juvenile delinquents mainly includes three stages.The first stage is the imprisonment stage in legislative investigation.The second stage is the bail pending trial.The last stage is the conditional non-prosecution investigation stage.In the imprisonment stage,the intervention of judicial social workers majorly includes crisis intervention,enabling and social investigation.Judicial social workers used support skills such as empathy,listening and companionship to stabilize Xiao Jia’s emotions and offer information to enable the juvenile delinquents.In the stage of the bail pending trial,judicial social works link to social supports for the juvenile delinquents as resource linker.They carry out individual interview from the perspective of advantages to repair family relations and assist in making juvenile delinquents obtain a guarantor pending trial.In the stage of conditional non-prosecution,the intervention of judicial social works mainly includes legal knowledge education,management of emotion and social reintegration.Judicial social workers organize activities in the way of group work,using rational emotion therapy to enhance the self-control ability of juvenile delinquents.In the meanwhile,they enhance the social function of juvenile delinquents by combining case work with group work.At last,they help juvenile delinquents return to society successfully.Based on the above practices,this paper proposes two aspects of the dilemma about the intervention of judicial social workers.From the institution aspect,social work institutions are faced with several problems,such as financial strain,large personnel fluidity,the shorts of the standard about correcting work.From the the individual aspect,judicial social workers are faced with a few problems too.Such as the shorts of professionalism,low salary,low social recognition.To solve these problems,this paper provides some ways.Social work institutions should strengthen publicity,and build professional ability improvement system for judicial social workers.They also can complete the salary system.Judicial social workers should improve professional ability.They also need integrate several theories to enhance the correction of juvenile delinquents.
