| The integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education is conducive to narrowing the gap between urban and rural education and promoting educational equity.The study focuses on the development of rural education for a period of time in the future by moderately stabilizing the rural student population,addressing the problems of "rural weakness" and "urban overcrowding",consolidating and developing nine-year compulsory education in a balanced manner,and accelerating the reduction of the urban-rural education gap within the county.The study takes Q Primary School in Xuchang City,Henan Province,as a case study to explore the challenges and coping strategies encountered by a rural elementary school from the loss to the return of students,which is of typical significance and reference value.The study consists of five main parts.In the first part,Q Primary School’s schooling history will be reviewed in this paper reviewed.The geographical location,physical and cultural environment,and development history of Q Elementary School are described,presenting the overall appearance and development status of this kind of school.In the second part,the loss and return of students from Q Primary School will be analyzed in this part.Firstly,the reasons for the loss of students due to the multiple forces of population migration,backward school philosophy and insufficient educational resources are analyzed,followed by the experience of multiple measures to attract students to return,such as population return,group school operation and optimization of educational resources.In the third part,the challenges faced by Q Elementary School after the return of students will be analyzed in this part.The school faces many challenges after the return of students,including the gap between the existing conditions and the future development of the school,the imbalance between the professional level of teachers and the needs of students,and the many adaptation difficulties of students.In the fourth section,the strategies for coping with the return of students from Q Primary School will be put farward.In response to the new situations and problems that emerge after the return of students,efforts should be made to improve school conditions,enhance teachers’ professionalism and improve students’ learning adaptability so that students can enjoy equitable and quality education.Part Ⅴ.Prospects for attracting students back to rural elementary school will be mention in the last part.Attracting students to return and stabilizing rural students is a long-term strategy for the development of rural schools,so it is necessary to take advantage of rural revitalization to promote education,rely on policies to guide the way of running special schools,and take effective measures to retain excellent teachers. |
