The team of college counselors is an important force on the ideological and political education front of college students in my country.It plays a fundamental role in improving the level of vocational education in my country and cultivating professional and technical talents.Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era will become .China’s main theme idea,and colleges and universities are increasingly placed in the center,and the country has higher requirements for the construction of the current higher vocational college counselor team.In this context,it has distinct practical significance to explore how to build a team of counselors in higher vocational colleges that meet the requirements of the times and organize a more professional and standardized group of counselors.Based on the theory of cultivating morality,higher vocational education theory and human resource management theory,this research studies the construction of the counselor team in higher vocational colleges.The research found that the background and new requirements for strengthening the construction of the counselor team in higher vocational colleges in the new era are to expound the characteristics and priorities of the counselors’ work in higher vocational colleges by comparing with undergraduate colleges;,coordinating the reform,development,stabilization and implementation of the concept of educating people and moral education first,and discussing the necessity of strengthening the construction of the counselor team in higher vocational colleges from these three aspects;,using new media technology,attaching importance to students’ career planning and employment guidance,these three aspects expound the new requirements for the work of higher vocational college counselors in the new era.This highlights the characteristics of higher vocational colleges and lays the foundation for the later discussion on improving the work ability of counselors and optimizing the system and mechanism of team building.This is the innovation of this research.The object of this study is the counselors of higher vocational colleges in H city.Questionnaire survey and interview method were used to investigate the personal basic situation,daily work tasks,career promotion mechanism,training system,career planning,etc.of the counselors team of higher vocational colleges in H City,and found that the existing problems are: Balance,the role of counselors is vague,the job responsibilities are generalized,the training system is not perfect,the promotion channels are not smooth,the career planning is lacking,and the assessment,evaluation and incentive mechanisms are not perfect;the counselors’ personal ideals and beliefs are not firm enough,and their service awareness is not strong.,The working methods are outdated,and it is difficult to ensure work efficiency.The causes of the above problems come from: first,at the social level,there is a lack of strict and unified access standards for professional qualifications and high recognition of the public;second,at the university level,there is a lack of attention to the ideological and political work and team development of counselors In addition,the recruitment method of the school determines the composition of the counselor team,and the actual situation of the college determines the content of the counselor’s daily work;third,on the personal level of the counselor,there is a lack of theoretical and practical learning and low professional quality.There are two aspects to the measures to be taken in response to the above problems:First,in terms of system and mechanism,it is necessary to improve the access mechanism,optimize the structure of the counselor team,clarify the role positioning,correct the work responsibilities,and build a "all-round,multi-angle,multi-level" training system,smooth promotion channels,establish scientific and long-term career planning,and improve the assessment,evaluation and incentive mechanism;second,in giving full play to the subjective initiative of counselors,individuals must strengthen their ideals and beliefs,improve professional quality,innovate working methods,and actively connect with new Require.
