Research On The Impact Of Human Capital On High-quality Economic Development

With the continuous decline of the labor force population and the gradual disappearance of the demographic dividend,the extensive and high-speed growth mode of China’s economy driven by factors and investment for a long time has been unable to meet the needs of sustainable development and high-quality development.Efficiency is an important means of driving transformation.Therefore,the study of the role of human capital in high-quality economic development is of great significance to the future economic development and the formulation of education policies.Firstly,this thesis combs the literature,compares the measurement methods of human capital on the basis of theoretical analysis and influence mechanism,and selects the average years of education in the education method to measure human capital.When calculating the level of high-quality economic development,we should start with innovative development,coordinated development,green development,open development and coordinated development,build a comprehensive index system of high-quality economic development,weight it by entropy method,and then obtain the comprehensive score,that is,the level of high-quality economic development.Secondly,30 provincial-level units in China(except Tibet)are divided into eastern,central and western regions,and the current situation of high-quality development of human capital and economy is analyzed in different regions.On this basis,select the panel data from 2010 to 2019,take the industrial structure as the intermediary variable,establish the fixed effect and intermediary effect model,and study the impact of human capital on highquality economic development and whether it has intermediary effect.Finally,a panel threshold model is established to test the nonlinear relationship between human capital and high-quality economic development,that is,whether it has threshold characteristics.The research shows that:(1)human capital has a positive promoting effect and a threshold effect on high-quality economic development.From a subregional perspective,the impact of human capital on high-quality economic development is the largest in the eastern region,the second in the central region and the smallest in the western region;There is a non-linear relationship between human capital and high-quality economic development.There is a threshold effect,and its influence effect decreases.(2)Taking the industrial structure as the intermediary variable,by constructing the intermediary effect model,it is found that the industrial structure has some intermediary effects in the high-quality economic development of human capital.Based on the above conclusions,this thesis puts forward the following policy suggestions:(1)establish the concept that human capital can promote high-quality economic development,increase the investment in human capital and improve the average number of years of education of the labor force.(2)The eastern region will drive the development of the central and western regions,strengthen the integration between regions,complement each other’s advantages and make concerted progress.
