| At present,under the background of COVID-19,tour guides are under great pressure.On the one hand,tourist group business stagnation makes income cannot be guaranteed,on the other hand,occupational stigma leads to poor social evaluation.In the face of work pressure,the company lacks professional and effective relief methods,and tour guides’ own coping methods are also inadequate.Therefore,it is imperative to use the case social work method to help tour guides relieve pressure and improve coping ability.Based on the existing academic research,this thesis selected Jiangxi X Company for investigation.Questionnaire method and interview method were used to understand the situation of tour guides’ pressure.The survey found that 146 tour guides have varying degrees of work pressure.On this basis,the author chose the client of the case based on the results of the simple coping style scale.The author carried out case intervention on the basis of establishing a good professional relationship with the client.First of all,the social worker learned that the client was under heavy work pressure,and had problems of single coping style,low coping ability and maladjusted social support system.Secondly,relying on the theory of stress response,social support theory,advantage perspective theory and rational emotion therapy,the social worker carried out five phases of intervention activities using case social work method.Among them,the first phase was mainly to deeply understand the client’s problems and their causes,grasp the client’s cognition of the problems.The second phase was based on the client’s recent experiences,to help identify stressful events,establish rational beliefs,and assign tasks to consolidate the harvest.The third phase helped the client understand available resources and improve the social support system.The fourth stage used Holland Career Interest Test to help the client to clarify the concept of employment and prepare for the establishment of a reasonable career planning.In the fifth phase,the social worker reviewed the intervention process with the client to consolidate the learned content.Finally,the social worker evaluated the effectiveness of the case work intervention and encouraged the client to use the learned content to participate in the resumption of work and employment.This thesis found that it was feasible and effective to use case social work to relieve the work pressure of tour guides in the context of COVID-19.However,there were still some deficiencies in service time and service form,which affected the effect of case intervention to some extent.In order to better relieve the pressure of tour guides,the following three suggestions were put forward.First,to work on self-help and improve the ability to cope with work pressure.Second,to provide humanistic care and establish a long-term mechanism for work pressure.Third,to integrate disciplinary knowledge and giving play to the professional value of social work.Through the above measures,while helping tour guides to relieve pressure from the work and improve coping ability,they can enrich and promote the development of corporate social work,and improve the handling ability and management mechanism of social work for unexpected public health events. |
