The belief in a just world means that people generally have such a basic survival need to believe that they are in a fair and just world. This belief of individuals will make them think that their existing life is protected, and then it creates a sense of security, and they believe that the future is also controllable.Supported by this belief that the world is fair and just, people believe that as long as they invest their efforts, they will get what they expect and deserve, and that individuals will dare to set long-term goals for the future and actively pursue them.Based on the above logic,it can be speculated that the belief in the fair world will make individuals have a sense of control over the present and the future,so as to plan their goals and visions with a long-term vision, stimulate individuals’ pursuit of success, and then affect their motivation for achievement. In early studies of belief in a just world,it was found that culture, especially ethnic and religious cultures, can significantly influence individual just world beliefs. Our research in this respect mainly focuses on the contrast between Chinese and western countries, and for the local differences between different nationalities of belief in a just world, considering the basic situation of our country is a multi-ethnic country, this paper chooses to minority college students as the research object, discusses the influence of just world belief on achievement motivation and locus of control in the just world belief and achievement motivation between what role. This study using Dr Chunyan compiled the belief in a just word questionnaire,Ye Renmin revised achievement motivation scale(AMS)and Rotter,Chinese expert wang dengfeng revised the internal and external locus of control scale(Internal External Locus of Control Scale,I-E),in Jilin and Gansu province, through online and offline to collected 255 samples of ethnic minority college students and 318 samples of Han Chinese college students used as a comparison. After the collected data, common method bias test, descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t-test,single factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis, regression analysis, mediation effect test and other statistical methods were processed using SPSS26.0,the following results:1.The minority college students in this study have a high level of belife in a just world;the achievement motivation is at a moderately high level, and the tendency to pursue success is greater than that to avoid failure;the psychological control scores are similar, that is,the sample of ethnic minority college students in this study generally has no obvious tendency of internal and external control.2.In this study, belife in a just world and achievement motivation level of ethnic minority college students were higher than that of Han nationality college students, who were slightly higher than ethnic minority college students in terms of locus of control external control tendency.3.This study by comparing the sample of ethnic minority and Han college students found tha the level of belife in a just world and locus of controls was not significant, except at the level of achievement motivation.4.Belife in a just word, achievement motivation and locus of control are significantly correlated among ethnic minority college students.belife in a just word is a significant negative correlation with locus of control(the higher the locus of control score, the more the individual external control),it shows that individuals with high justice world beliefs tend to internal control type, while individuals with low justice world beliefs tend to external control type;the locus of control(external control)has a significant negative correlation with achievement motivation, indicating that the more individuals tend to external control type, the lower the level of achievement motivation.5.Belife in a just word and locus of control of ethnic minority college students can effectively predict the achievement motivation.Belife in a just word of minority college students has a positive prediction effect on the achievement motivation;the locus of control of minority college students has a significant negative prediction effect on achievement motivation, which shows that it improves with the improvement of the belief level of fair world and the decrease of locus of control.6.The locus of control of minority college students play a partial mediating role in the influence of belife in a just word on achievement motivation. It shows that the individual’s belife in a just word level affects the individual’s achievement motivation through the role of locus of controls. This study found by the demographic difference test that ethnic minority college students and Han Chinese college students were not significantly different in other variables except for the motivation of achievement of the dependent variable. Therefore, this study did not conduct further regression analysis and mediation model test of Han college students ’samples, and the regression analysis and mediation model test of minority college students’ samples showed that the belief in a just world of minority college students can affect the achievement motivation, and the locus of control played a partial mediating role in it.In a theoretical sense, this study enriches the study of cultural differences in belife in a just word, and provides a reference for the future research of belife in a just word among different groups. In terms of practical significance, the present findings provide some inspiration for educators to improve the motivation for achievement of minority student groups, namely the pursuit of achievement motivation can be promoted by enhancing their just world beliefs.
