This research is based on the contextual development theory, adopts a cross-lagged design, and used 202 freshmen from a university in Shandong as subjects to conduct 3consecutive follow-up surveys to examine the causal cycle relationship between career planning and academic performance and professional commitment And the mechanism of academic self-efficacy between these two variables. The research adopts the form of self-report of academic performance, career planning scale, professional commitment scale and academic self-efficacy scale to conduct questionnaire research.SPSS21.0 and Amos24.0 were used to analyze and process the data and model the structural equation. The research results are as follows:1、There is a significant difference in the career planning of freshman students in family monthly income. There are significant differences in academic performance in terms of gender, student origin, major, and family monthly income. There is a significant difference in professional commitments in household monthly income.Academic self-efficacy differs significantly in majors.2、Freshman students are not significantly correlated with career planning in the third time period, and the variables in other time periods are pairwise significantly positively correlated.3、As time changes, freshmen’s career planning, academic performance, professional commitment, and academic self-efficacy have been significantly improved during the twelve-month follow-up measurement.4 、 The academic performance of college students at T1 can significantly and positively predict the career planning of T2,and the career planning of T2 can significantly predict the academic performance of T3;the career planning of T1 has a significant effect on the prediction of academic performance of T2,while the academic performance of T2 It has no significant effect on the prediction of T3 career planning. There is a causal relationship between college students’ career planning and academic performance.5、The professional commitment(T2)and academic self-efficacy(T2)of freshman students play a longitudinal part of the mediating role between career planning(T1)and academic performance(T3).
