| With the rapid development of higher education,the number of university graduates is increasing year by year,and the overlapping influence of adverse factors such as COVID-19 and global economic downward pressure,the employment situation of university students is becoming more and more serious,and the employment problem is becoming increasingly prominent.Employability is the key factor to determine whether university students can get employment smoothly and satisfactorily.How to improve the employability of university students and solve the employment problem has become the focus of attention from all walks of life.Relevant studies have pointed out that the employability level of university students at different levels is different.Therefore,based on social cognitive occupational theory,this study takes the job hunting process of local university graduates as a clue to carry out employability research.The purpose is to explore the current situation of the employability of local university students,analyze individual differences and provide targeted strategies for effectively improving the employability of local university students.First of all,in combing system,on the basis of correlative literature and consultation,based on the social cognitive career theory to build the university students’ employment force theory model,the model contains learning experience,career self-efficacy,job search results expected,personal goal of clarity,perception of social support,job performance,six key elements,the employment of university students can be more comprehensive characterization of local universities.Based on this,a questionnaire on the employability of local university students is developed as a research tool.Then,random sampling method was used to carry out investigation in 8 local universities and universities in Shandong Province,and extensive data were collected.Finally,a total of 647 valid samples were obtained.Data analysis results show that:(1)The overall level of employability of university students in the 8 local universities investigated by this research is medium.Some students have less learning experience,fail to form a high level of job hunting self-efficacy and positive job hunting results expectations,showing a depressed job hunting state,resulting in unclear job hunting objectives,job hunting performance is general.(2)From the perspective of the influence of individual characteristics on employability,there are significant individual differences in the employability level of local university students in terms of their working experience and political status;From the perspective of the influence of background variables on employability,the employability level of local university students is significantly different due to their parents’ educational background,parents’ occupation type and family income.(3)Learning experience,as the starting point of employability,is the source of job hunting self-efficacy and job hunting result expectation.Job search self-efficacy and job search outcome expectation can directly affect job search performance and indirectly affect job search performance through job search goal clarity.At the same time,perceived social support also has a significant positive impact on job hunting self-efficacy,job hunting outcome expectation and job hunting goal clarity.(4)The systematic improvement of the employability of local university students is related to many relevant subjects,but the key is personal support.Can enhance the awareness of self-cultivation,practice to accumulate learning experience;Focus on strengthening the positive experience,improve the job search self-efficacy;Overcome internal and external obstacles,adjust the expected results of job hunting;Reasonable career planning,improve the clarity of job objectives;Cultivate job expression,show competitive advantage;The three parties jointly build social support network and other ways to achieve an overall breakthrough in employment. |
