Extracurricular reading is an important part of Chinese lesson.Extracurricular reading can enable students to acquire knowledge,increase knowledge,and help to cultivate students’ Chinese literacy.The Chinese Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2011)clearly requires students’ extracurricular reading.However,for a long time,extracurricular reading is often ignored by teachers in teaching because of the word "extracurricular".This is very detrimental to students’ language learning.Therefore,it is very necessary to carry out teaching research in the field of extracurricular reading.If the majority of teachers can pay attention to extracurricular reading,change the traditional extracurricular reading mode,and expand the Chinese lesson beyond the subject content and inside and outside of the lesson,then they can make full use of the extracurricular reading platform to cultivate students’ s Chinese literacy.Based on the extracurricular reading of Chinese in junior high school,relying on the guidance of multiple intelligences theory,and taking science fiction literature as the subject of reading,this paper attempts to explore a feasible extracurricular reading mode.The content of the thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason,background and significance of the topic of this paper,and gives a general introduction to the writing content of this paper.The second chapter is the research and investigation of the status quo of extracurricular reading.Through data analysis,questionnaire survey and teacher interviews,it introduces the status quo of extracurricular reading teaching,and draws teaching enlightenment.The third chapter gives a brief introduction to science fiction literature,and analyzes the reasons and significance of taking it as the research object of extracurricular reading.The fourth chapter briefly introduces the theory of multiple intelligences,and introduces how to combine it with extracurricular reading activities,as well as the specific application mode.The fifth chapter is a practical case of carrying out extracurricular science fiction literature reading activities with From the Earth to the Moon as an example,and the summary and reflection of the case.Combined with the experience and summary of relevant practical cases,in the context of today’s era,we will explore the new field of combining extracurricular reading and science fiction literature,and try to build a feasible extracurricular reading mode.
