| Since the report of the 18 th Party Congress proposed that "establishing moral education" is the fundamental task of education,it has greatly promoted the development of students’ character education.As an important part of character education,physical education character is the core part of implementing the fundamental task of establishing moral education.This paper adopts the methods of literature,questionnaire and mathematical statistics,based on the perspective of sports character self-evaluation,and takes sports majors as the investigation objects,and tests the effectiveness of the sports character evaluation index system constructed by Tang Lijun and Cai Hao(2019)based on hierarchical analysis method applied to sports majors’ sports character self-evaluation through 2 rounds of questionnaire surveys,and analyzes the level of contemporary physical education students’ physical education character self-evaluation and its relationship with related variables,and on this basis,propose a path to cultivate physical education students’ physical education character,aiming to provide a reference basis for promoting the further improvement of the development level of moral education in China’s colleges and universities.It was found that(1)the sports character evaluation index system constructed by Lijun Tang and Hao Cai(2019)based on hierarchical analysis applied to sports students’ sports character self-evaluation had acceptable reliability and validity(CMIN=231.52,CMIN/DF=3.12,RMR=0.09,TLI=0.92,CFI=0.93).(2)The overall level of physical education majors’ self-evaluation of sports character was relatively high,and among the 3 dimensions of sportsmanship,sports character and sports ethical behavior,physical education majors’ self-evaluation of sports character was higher than that of sports ethical behavior and sportsmanship.(3)The differences in physical education students’ self-evaluation of physical education character differed significantly in their knowledge of school physical education character training goals,their attitudes toward physical education character evaluation and their satisfaction with school physical education character training work.(4)Self-evaluation of physical education character can promote physical education majors’ awareness of physical education character and give play to the main role of physical education majors’ self-evaluation,which is an effective method of physical education character evaluation.In order to further enhance the development of physical education students’ sports character,the following suggestions are made:(1)to create a good atmosphere for sports character cultivation and pay attention to sports character propaganda and education;(2)the cultivation of sports character should be fully integrated into the whole process of physical education;(3)physical education students should enhance their awareness of self-cultivation of sports character;(4)the strength of higher education workers,parents,society and other parties should be brought together to try to help physical education students establish good character. |
