With the issuance of relevant policies and the unified use of the ministry-edited version of textbooks,works on revolutionary traditions have become an important part of learning in elementary school languages.Chinese revolutionary traditions are an important part of traditional Chinese culture and the great achievements of the Chinese revolutionary struggle.The language subject carries the important responsibility of establishing moral education,and incorporating the works of revolutionary traditions into language teaching materials and educating and guiding students through language teaching can enable students to understand and appreciate the spirit of the Chinese revolution,establish a correct world view,outlook on life and values,and at the same time inherit and promote revolutionary culture and enhance cultural confidence.However,through combing the literature on "revolutionary traditions",we found that the studies on the teaching of revolutionary traditions are mainly focused on middle and high school levels,and there are fewer studies on elementary schools.Therefore,this thesis is based on the study of the teaching of revolutionary traditional works in elementary school language teaching,analyzing the revolutionary traditional works in the Ministry of Education,PEP and Jiangsu edition,supplemented by some empirical studies,in order to provide a more comprehensive perspective for the development of revolutionary traditional education in elementary school language teaching.This study compares and analyzes the current status of the research on revolutionary traditional education by reviewing the relevant literature.Then,it compares and analyzes the revolutionary traditional works in the textbooks of the Ministry of Education,PEP Edition and Jiangsu Edition in terms of the number of selected texts,the period of selected texts,the content of selected texts and the genre of selected texts,and finds that the selected revolutionary traditional works in the textbooks of the Ministry of Education have the characteristics of greatly increasing the number of selected texts,the content of selected texts from shallow to deep,the double-line organization of unit elements,the richness and diversity of the genre of works,the gradual progression of related contents and the depth of nurturing values.Then,this thesis conducts an empirical study by distributing questionnaires to language teachers and students in an experimental elementary school in W city,conducting in-depth interviews with front-line language teachers and collecting lesson plans and classroom recordings about the teaching of revolutionary traditional works to fully understand the current situation of teaching revolutionary traditional works in elementary school language.Finally,based on the analysis of the teaching materials and the survey results,we analyze the current problems in the teaching of revolutionary traditional works and propose improvement strategies for better teaching of revolutionary traditional works.This study found through investigation that in the current teaching of revolutionary traditional works in elementary school language,teachers have problems such as not paying enough attention to revolutionary traditional works,traditional teaching methods,single teaching objectives,insufficient use of resources,insufficient thematic research,and insufficient development of nurturing value,and students have problems such as not paying enough attention,content detached from life,and insufficient integration of learning,thinking and doing.In order to better promote the teaching of revolutionary traditional works and solve the current problems in many aspects of teaching,this study proposes improvement strategies from three levels: teaching materials,teaching and practice.First of all,we should deeply develop the nurturing value based on the teaching materials,explore the nurturing value contained in the text content,integrate the text resources pointing to the elements of the unit,and explore the language expressions of in-depth text dialogue;secondly,we should promote the improvement of learning level based on teaching,create revolutionary situations to enhance learning experience,enrich teaching resources to expand the learning dimension,and improve teachers’ professionalism in curriculum thinking and politics;finally,we should develop multiple types of practical level Finally,at the practical level,we should develop various kinds of thematic activities to carry out our mission,cultivate revolutionary history and family sentiment,innovate educational contents and forms,and continue the revolutionary spirit and power of advancement.To sum up,based on the analysis of the characteristics of the arrangement of revolutionary traditional works in the textbook,this paper,through various investigations,learns the problems in teaching and then proposes improvement strategies.However,due to many reasons,there are still shortcomings in this study.In the future study and research,I will expand the survey subjects through various ways,investigate the teaching status comprehensively,and come up with more accurate and representative survey results in order to better promote the teaching of revolutionary traditional works. |
