The high school ideology and politics curriculum standards released in 2017 put forward the four core literacies of the subject,and clearly pointed out that scientific spiritual literacy among them is the basic condition for forming the other three major literacies.Having scientific spiritual literacy plays an important role in forming correct values for high school students,helping them to distinguish right from wrong and good from evil on their way to growth and make correct value judgments and choices when faced with situational conflicts.Therefore,both teachers and parents must pay attention to the cultivation of students’ scientific spirituality.Based on his own practical experience,the author conducts a study on the theme of cultivating scientific spirituality in high school ideology and politics classes,using various tools and methods to investigate and collect data.We hope to explore strategies and methods to cultivate students’ scientific literacy in the context of teaching high school ideology and politics.The paper first summarizes the research results of previous scholars at home and abroad,and then starts from the value implication of cultivating scientific spiritual literacy,focusing on its significance in three aspects: achieving the curriculum objectives of the subject,cultivating innovative talents,and improving students’ overall quality and implementing the fundamental task of educating people with moral values.Later,through detailed analysis of the statistical results of the questionnaire survey,the problems in the current cultivation process are identified.In response to these problems,the authors propose strategies for cultivating students’ scientific spirituality in four aspects: teaching objectives,teaching resources,teaching methods,and teaching evaluation,specifically optimizing teaching objectives,clarifying the dimensions of scientific spirituality,developing teaching resources related to scientific spirituality,adopting advanced teaching methods to cultivate scientific spirituality,and improving teaching evaluation for cultivating scientific spirituality.The last part of the paper is based on the previous article.The last part of this paper is a design of one of the lessons in Compulsory 4 of the high school ideology and politics course to highlight the cultivation of students’ scientific spirituality based on the strategies proposed in the previous paper.
