| The quality of student learning is the development of students’ abilities in all aspects of learning activities and the actual results achieved by students,which is the unity of the learning process and learning outcomes,and is used to measure the degree to which education meets the students’ own development.The quality of student learning is an important indicator of the quality of education,and education at the junior high school level plays a pivotal role in the whole education enterprise.The study of student learning quality in rural junior high schools can not only enrich the theoretical research on learning quality in China,but also provide a theoretical basis for improving the quality of student learning and thus the quality of school education and national talent training;it can also arouse further attention to student learning quality from the government,schools,teachers and educational researchers and other groups,and explore ways to improve student learning quality and promote students’ overall development.Therefore,it’s very important to keep a watchful eye on the quality of student learning in rural junior high schools.The students of rural junior high schools in different townships of L County in Gansu Province were selected as the research subjects,and the research was conducted by questionnaire,interview and observation methods.On the basis of total quality management theory and constructivist learning theory,the current dimensions of learning quality were divided into learning engagement,learning attitude,learning motivation and learning gain;through literature combing,eight influencing factors affecting students’ learning quality were identified,which were They are students’ learning attitudes,learning motivation,learning methods,homework quality,teachers’ teaching ability,teaching concepts,teaching methods and school environment,and on this basis,we compiled our own questionnaire on the current situation and influencing factors of students’ learning quality in rural junior high schools.Using SPSS21.0 to statistically analyze the questionnaire,the survey results showed that the overall level of learning quality of rural junior high school students was not high,slightly below the theoretical median of 3 points,and at an intermediate level.The scores on the specific four dimensions were: learning attitude>learning gain>learning commitment>learning motivation.The analysis of the factors affecting students’ learning quality revealed that students’ personal factors had the strongest influence on learning quality,specifically speaking: learning methods > learning motivation > learning attitude > assignment quality;teachers’ factors were the second strongest,specifically: teaching ability >teaching method > teaching concept;school factors had the weakest influence on learning quality,but they could not be ignored as well.Further,the multiple stepwise regression analysis of these eight factors shows that the specific degree of influence is:learning method > teaching ability > teaching methods > learning motivation > learning attitude > teaching concept > assignment quality > learning environment.Based on the analysis of the current situation of student learning quality and the factors influencing it in rural junior high schools,we try to make targeted suggestions for the improvement of student learning quality from the key factors.As for the students themselves,they should master learning methods and strategies to promote effective learning;stimulate intrinsic learning motivation and actively engage in learning;improve their learning self-control ability and reasonably plan their learning life.As far as teachers are concerned,they should develop their teaching ability and improve the effectiveness of education and teaching;use a variety of teaching methods and pay attention to students’ individual differences;establish the concept of quality assessment and pay attention to students’ learning process.As for the school,it should create a good learning atmosphere and encourage students to participate enthusiastically. |
