Epidemic disease is the most serious disease that destroys human life and health, and seriously affects human production and life. For example,2020 COVID-19 not only hinders economic development and social progress, but also reminds mankind that we live in a world coexisting with the epidemic. Therefore,it is urgent to deepen students’ understanding of epidemic diseases and shape a correct concept of ecological civilization.Using its unique advantages and taking the brief history of anti epidemic as the carrier, middle school history is conducive to students to learn lessons, summarize experience and form a correct understanding of epidemic diseases. This paper mainly expounds four aspects about the epidemic research in the practice of history teaching in middle school. The first part discusses the significance of epidemic disease teaching, focusing on the fact that epidemic disease teaching is conducive to expanding curriculum content, enriching research perspective and deepening humanistic education. The second part selects typical cases from the records and research of epidemic diseases in ancient China, the records and research of epidemic diseases in world history and the understanding of epidemic diseases in modern medicine, and finds that epidemic diseases affect all aspects of human production and life,so as to realize that the development history of human society is an evolution history of symbiosis and coexistence with epidemic diseases. The third part, based on the epidemic teaching of cultivating students’ core quality of history discipline, summarizes, combs, analyzes and evaluates the epidemic content of history curriculum standards and history textbooks for junior and senior high schools. It is found that the history textbooks for junior and senior high schools are based on historical evidence, writing the coexistence and coexistence of epidemic disease and human society, and interpreting the impact of epidemic disease on human society. The fourth part discusses the practical cases of epidemic disease teaching.Junior middle school carries out cooperative inquiry learning with the project-based learning of "dancing with the epidemic" as the carrier;High school relies on the sixth unit of selective compulsory 2 "medical and public health" to carry out classroom teaching.Carry out the practical activities of epidemic disease learning in middle school history teaching, build students to care for nature and life, and pursue the harmonious development of man and nature. Finally, the author puts forward some practical principles for the teaching practice of historical epidemic diseases in middle school, which should pay attention to the principle of the unity of humanism and ideology, the principle of the unity of subject subjectivity and permeability, and the principle of the unity of historicity and reality.Cultivate students’ consciousness of anti epidemic and prevention, establish the concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and make historical contributions to the sustainable development of human society.
