The educational value of history lies in the cultivation of historical materialism,concept of time and space,empirical evidence of historical materials,historical explanation,patriotism,so as to meet the requirements of fostering virtue through education.Therefore,it is the focus of high school history teaching to implement the core competence of history with the help of teaching materials.In the history course of senior high school,the third optional compulsory textbook "Cultural Exchange and Communication" cuts through different ways of cultural exchange and communication in human history,showing the connection and interaction between different civilizations and different groups of people.Therefore,from the perspective of core competence,helping students understand the important role of cultural exchange and communication in the progress of civilization,respecting the diversity of civilizations of the world and establishing a correct world outlook,outlook on life,values and historical views are the current teaching objectives of“Cultural Exchange and Communication”.This article is divided into four parts to elaborate the research of “Cultural Exchange and Communication” from the perspective of core competence.The first part expounds that the purpose and significance of studying “Cultural Exchange and Communication” is to enrich the theoretical research of core competence and guide the teaching practice of “Cultural Exchange and Communication” under the background of cultivating the core competence of history.It explains concept and definition of the core competence of history and “Cultural Exchange and Communication”,establishes the correlation between core competence and teaching materials,and lays the foundation for the following research.The second part is the teaching material analysis of “Cultural Exchange and Communication”.Based on the frame structure,to understand the expansion and deepening of the content of “Cultural Exchange and Communication”,and to highlight the global view.It summarizes the writing characteristics of teaching materials from the perspective of core competence: aiming at fostering virtue through education,highlighting the academic nature and the character of the times,and attaching importance to the guidance of learning methods and the cultivation of core competence.The third part,relying on the unit and class hours of the teaching design of the fourth unit of the textbook "Trade routes,trade and cultural exchanges",defines the principles of using the textbook: mastering the outline of selective compulsory course and constructing the knowledge system;improving the quality of thinking and expanding the historical vision.The fourth part,on the basis of defining the principles of teaching materials and teaching practice,sums up the teaching suggestions of “Cultural Exchange and Communication”: analyzing cultural background,creating problem situations,using historical data analysis,guiding active inquiry,and integrating into emotional education,so as to implement historical core competence.
