Abstract/Summary:
In China, the number of autistic children is expanding. The diagnosis of autistic children brings a great blow to families.Parents of autistic children need to spend more energy to take care of them, and autistic children also face the problem of not being able to integrate with the community.During the internship, the author participated in the "Community Old friends Integration" project to help autistic children integrate with the community. The program uses group work and community work to serve children with autism and their parents.According to the degree of contact between autism and community residents, the practical process of the project is divided into the community project for autistic children with light touch, the project for autistic children with "light" and "reserve",and the project for autistic children with "touch" and parents interaction. In this study,a comprehensive evaluation method was adopted to evaluate the project, and questionnaires and semi-structured interviews were used to collect and analyze data. The community integration project explored and implemented the characteristic mode of "home-school linkage",experimented with the continuous education mode of "linking the young and the young",and tried to cultivate professional mutual assistance teams for parents. In the process of research, the author also found the limitations of the project: the implementation content of the project does not fit the project objectives well, the scope of community integration is narrow, the utilization rate of project resources is not high, and the content of integrated community construction is not paid attention to.In order to improve the operation of the project, the author puts forward several suggestions for the above limitations:clarifying the concept of "community integration",creating an integrated community, setting up online services and door-to-door services, paying attention to the use of resources, ensuring resource utilization and "home-school-community" linkage, and realizing the two-way integration between autistic children and the community. At the same time, the author also reflects on the problems existing in the research: the sample setting of project service is not representative, the time of observation is limited, and tries to make further breakthroughs in the research.
